Clean, comfortable and friendly site. Plenty of facilities all clean. Staff were wonderful and helpful. You notice the road noise at first but after a while it fades into the background. Will use it again with pleasure. We were a short drive to The Britiania gurka restaurant which a great experience.

Arrived mid afternoon to a very warm welcome from the 2 lovely ladies in reception and the cheeky chappy boss man. The banter started as soon as I got out the car 🤣 Despite adding to my booking that I was bringing the dog she hadn't been added on, so I highlighted they hadn't charged for the dog and they were great about it. (3rd party site used for booking) We were shown to our plot and we were initially impressed, very well maintained and very pleasant surroundings. No matter the time of day or evening the staff always had a smile/ wave/hello or even a little chat. We used the site more as a base for travelling around. I would however recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper the A12 is noisey especially at night. Country Park name didn't quite live up to my expectations but that truly is my fault, I was thinking long walks with the dog, I didn't research first. The site really is lovely though and glad we went. I really would recommend this site and its close proximity to lots of tourist sites and only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the nearest pub and lots of takeaways and Aldi. Thanks you

This is the second time we have stayed in the last couple of months. Both times have been excellent. Friendly staff. Well looked after pitches. Really clean site. The second visit we arrived really late due to traffic problems. The staff were great and waited for us to arrive. Would highly recommend and will be staying again very soon.

Beautifully kept site outside... manicured grass, pristine gravel and edging, lots of lovely very green trees. Quiet and pleasant stay. Would be 5 stars except all of the toilet blocks were shut except for the one at the very other end of the site (it’s a long thin site and we were at the start, the toilets were at the end).... that block had half the cubicles shut due to COVID and the other two blocks were entirely shut.... I know COVID affects things but this is crazy on what seemed to be a fully booked bank holiday weekend just as we come out of lockdown. We were told the showers would be shut, but also the laundry was shut (and we didn’t look around to be honest, but think the washing up was also shut). Lots to do in the area/district.... Mersea Island, Clacton, Colchester Zoo etc
