Amazing find just outside of Carlisle city center. Beautiful hall & surroundings, very comfortable & good sized rooms. Great hospitality from the owners & staff. Our evening meal was superb & perfect for a very cold winter evening. Take a stroll around the grounds and river if you have time, you wont be disapointed.

Superb, lovely American lady (Val) made us feel soooooo welcome. Top Hotel for an idylic beak, self contained river suite. Evey need catered for, dog friendly. Lovely scenery and freedom to roam the estate. Thanks, Tim and Kate.

The relaxed atmosphere and the warm comfortable rooms made this hotel an ideal location to stay and catch up with family on our recent trip north. Although it was cold and wet outside, the hotel was warm, with comfortable furnishings throughout. The vast sitting room with its large log fire was just the place to relax especially with a drink...

Stayed here on Friday night with my husband. We choose the Birdie Suite as the write up for this sounded lovely and did not disappoint. Lovely views across the river and a huge room. Huge lounge area with a cot in it if needed, TV, dvds, books and games for children if needed, king size bed in adjourning room, and...

We stayed in a family suite here and had a nice relaxing stay. It is an odd place because it is not quite a B&B or a hotel, somewhere in between. The staff were really lovely and the location absolutely beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Lovely comfy bed and they had made lots of effort, putting up two sofa beds and...

Well - I'm puzzled by the complaints in this review. I've since asked several guests if this is a fair representation of their experience, and have been emphatically reassured that it is nothing like their experience. What can I say? Stuff happens in the best run railroad, but I genuinely don't recognize Warwick Hall in this review. I just don't...

This hotel is something of a gem. If your idea of luxury, no, comfort is the up-scale, corporate hotel experience then you should disregard the five stars we have given it and go stay near an airport somewhere. If, on the other hand, you value hospitality and its boon companion relaxed friendliness then read on. The arrival (remember the title...

Thank you for this. I think you've captured very well the 'not really a hotel -much more than a B&B - genuine country house' experience that's on offer here. And as you say, it's a very good choice for the right sort of people. Our regular guests are looking for a first class bed, large rooms, windows you can open...

We stayed in the Garden Room Suite for one night on our way from London to Scotland with our 2 dogs. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom clean and adequate with plenty of piping hot water. The Suite has a charming sitting room with cosy log burner and a full kitchen. The walk along the river is the perfect...

We had heard some positive comments on Warwick Hall and the only negative I can say is that we only staying for one evening. Val the owner is a perfect host and the tranquil surroundings make for a most relaxing and enjoyable stay. Lots of paths to explore in the 250 acre grounds, including a walled garden with wildlife a...

Please come back whenever you'd like - you're just our sort of visitors! This is what the house was built for - but it takes the right response from our guests to make it work. Many thanks for the kind review Best wishes Val

Had booked a two night stay in the Grey Room but on arrival was upgraded to the Corner Suite. Gorgeous view over the garden and river. The staff were very friendly and helpful and Josh made the best breakfast I've ever tasted. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I booked Sarah's room for the night of my friends wedding. I booked it because of the amazing bath to be honest. I was not disappointed ! Warwick Hall Estate offers luxurious hotel accommodation two miles from Carlisle and the M6 at Exit 43 junction with the A69. Perfect for a stopover on the road north (dogs welcome!) or stay a while if you have time to explore Hadrian's Wall and the beautiful Border countryside. Delicious food, excellent wine, afternoon tea in front of roaring log fires, and everything done just as it should be. You'll find long beautiful walks on the estate right out the front door.
