We booked up a week in advance looking forward to a cosy special valentines meal. We were shown to our table, surroundings not too bad, the waitress staff were polite and attentive. We were given a glass of prosecco each, which was included in the deal. Joanne opted for the

As I was stepping out of the taxi to arrive at the hotel. I noticed 3 young guys very drunk. Kebab meat dripping off them, not able to walk that well walking towards us, to my surprise they walked though the front door of the hotel! Not a great first impression! The hotel staff

Stayed here for one night in January, 3 friends sharing a room. Was impressed on check in, lovely lobby and very friendly staff. The car park is hard to find, but just pull in out front, nip to reception and they’ll give you a laminate with directions on. The car park manager

Hi Sophie. The restaurant is open for non residents. It is well worth booking in advance and the food I had was excellent.

Where about it hotel parking?
Where about it hotel parking?
The parking is down an alley (Blackfriars Street) which is off Victoria Viaduct. The Post Code for Sat Navs is CA3 8HB. Go down the alley to the end - you'll have St Cuthbert's Church on your left, the gates to the car park in front of you (and Cathedral beyond) and St Cuthbert's Lane on your right. If the gate isn't open (which it normally isn't) there is an intercom to the right of the gate - this allows you to talk to reception and ask them to send someone to open the gate (it's not automatic/ remote). The car park is fairly small/ tight to manoeuvre. If you access the hotel website and elect "About the Hotel" there is a sub menu for "directions" with a downloadable pdf map/ directions. I would just add that when driving down Blackfriars Lane, it crosses a pedestrianised area by Marks and Spencer's where there appeared to be some bad potholes to get onto it. We arrived in the dark during heavy rain so didn't see them, so take care.

"Don't stay here"
"Room 318 is at the front of the hotel, newly refurbished and very comfortable."
"Probably at the back which should be quiet although I have had no problem"
"Rooms at the rear are quieter, but the view at the front is better."
"The marketplace is traffic free, but there are some delivery vehicles early in the morning, so a room at the rear will be quieter."
