The hosts were very welcoming and the house was so well decorated and furnished. I was given a choice of room. We were given help with where to eat in the evening and after a good night's sleep we had an excellent breakfast and supplied with a value for money packed lunch to keep us going for the day.
Stayed here during our Hadrian's Wall walk in September 2020. Courtfield is a great B&B in a good location. Lovely house which is very clean and they serve a great breakfast. Can thoroughly recommend.
My 10 year old son and I stayed in Courfield house at the end of our Hadrian's Wall walk. We stayed for 2 days. The house is located at the east side of Carlisle, brilliant if you are finishing a 30km walk coming from the east. The hosts are fantastic, smiley and attending to anything you may need. We had completely wet boots which were then efficiently taken care of by our hostess Jackie. The room was large, supremely clean. Every detail around the house is beautiful. Excellent breakfast. Even, as we were a bit later then usual on our return from Bowness on Solway, the hosts said that they would pick us up in their car in case we didn't make the bus. We did, but nonetheless, what kindness.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, very easy to get to from the rail station as we prepared for our walk. The friendly owners make sure you are comfortable and the accommodation can't be faulted. Impressive.
A very large Bed and Breakfast. Well organized. Very good breakfast, and very good packed lunch. Located in the city of Carlisle with a good pub nearby for dinner. A short walk from Hadrian's Wall path, but not unreasonable.
