What a fantastic place to stay, full of character and the friendliest staff. Mitch lent us a book about the Hadrian wall during our stay. I loved the inn, the food and the area. Can't wait to have the opportunity to go back and stay...More

Very comfortable, attractive room, clean and well furnished. Inn is located in a quiet area off the beaten track. Delicious meal, and breakfast. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area, and would stay there again.

Lots of very quiet back lanes, hardly any traffic. Talkin Tarn near by, lovely for flat walking. Plenty of lanes to tour around.
