Recently We spent 2 nights at the Spring of Horses Inn in Cumbria. This place is a typical old style Inn parts of which date back to 1649. The accomodation was goo, food in the evening good and the management were friendly and helpfull.

Had a two day Break at this hotel. It's a very old building but our bedroom was small clean, comfortable and although located above the bar was reasonably quiet. The staff are very pleasant and eager to help. We had dinner in the pub both nights which was good value with large portions and excellent quality. Would definitely stay here...

Arrived early but was not a problem. Our room was airy & spacious & we had upgraded so had our own Jacuzzi bath. Bed very comfortable & big. Plenty of storage units, tv, & tea/coffee tray. Beautiful bar with log fires & wonderful atmosphere. Dined in this lovely, old inn both nights. Food superb & plentiful. Full breakfast served at table....

What a beautiful, old inn.We had arrived a little early as amazingly, the satnav didn't take us the wrong way. It was not a problem & we were greeted warmly & given the key to our room. My family and I love the old charm of the place and it's wooden beams. I personally only met the male owner who was very pleasant and the rest of my family said all other staff were helpful and...

Had a fantastic 1 night stay here with a voucher. Arrived at 3 and they were just opening but given key to our lovely spacious room. A little chilly in the room but the heating was on and it's to be expected on a bitter day with such an old but lovely building. Went out to explore and came back...

A pleasant location and a characterful inn. The room was adequate for a short stay; clean. tidy and comfortable with coffee making facilities and a hair dryer, but few toiletries. Stairs a bit difficult if you have limited mobility, but what do you expect in a 17th century building. The bar and restaurant atmosphere are charming and the food excellent....
