Hotel which was walkable into centre of Bedford (15-20 walk), Parking spaces at front, limited. Nice reception at desk, bed was comfortable, but desk would have been difficult to sit at. Ensuite shower was up a step and toilet was right behind the door (had to shut the door to use the toliet).

Good over all, very clean in communal areas and staff polite. Room was a tad cramped but suitable for one night. Walls are pretty thin also as could hear others getting back later at night. Room as a whole could do with a few minor repairs but over all was well equipped

this is a really cute hotel, at a great price. Think i paid around £45. My room was a triple, comfy double and a single. My only 2 complaints are that the lighting is awful for anyone doing their make up for a night out, and the bath towels are tiny! Other than this was a lovely stay, and the decor was lovely.

stayed at this hotel and booked a double room for a one night stay was given a tiny little room with a barely double bed , the walls are paper thin , and service is terrible went put and come and went to bed , left at 6am, then no contact after that but checking my bank statement a week later they charged me an extra £50.00 for the short stay . i phoned up and got a really rude receptionist, who informed me that i had broken the bathroom door handle , when i explained i didnt even shut the bathroom door and demanded a refund was point blanked refused and told to contact booking.com , i contacted the hotel again and got fobbed off yet again. do yourself a favour do not use this hotel, shoddy and gaudy interior and rude unhelpfull staff and will rip you off ,

Really nice hotel with friendly staff, we only booked for one night and unfortunately did not have time to dine in the restaurant but plan to return. The hotel is nicely decorated and very clean our room had two fans both with remote controls these were more than adequate to keep the room cool on a particularly hot night. Have read few comments about parking being a problem which I think are unfair the hotel tries to maximise the parking area and yes customers do double park but it’s not a problem I would rather that than leave the car on a side road, only one moan it’s a shame that they only offer continental breakfast it’s not a deal breaker but we do enjoy a cooked breakfast when staying in hotels.

I travel a lot for work and stay in all kind of hotels frequently, and I have to say that my 2 nights at Verve Bedford (18th & 20th) were the best I’ve had in a long time.
Welcoming, helpful, and professional staff, clean rooms, incredibly thoughtful items provided in the room, wifi good enough to use zoom for work, and good quality hairdryer (makes a change from those nasty hot-smelling ones hotels usually provide).
It was comfortable, I felt secure at all times, and the decor had refreshing flair which was so nice compared to the brain-numbing aesthetic of most hotels.

So much thanks to the staff for being so wonderful, and who put a big smile on my face after long days on set. If I have work in Bedford in future, Verve is my go-to.

I enquired about hiring this hotel for a wedding, After sending 2 emails, 2 Facebook messages, 3 phone calls to the hotel and 1 call to another hotel that belongs to the same group (within a 2 week period) I finally got an email from the manager stating they don’t do weddings anymore. Surely their staff should of known this when I originally contacted them. All the staff I spoke to said I needed to send in numbers and dates and the ‘events’ team would give me a quote. No one seemed to know what they were doing at the Bedford hotel. Very disappointing.

Response from vervebedford, Manager at Verve Hotel
Responded 10 Feb 2020
First of all, asking for a quote over the phone is not acceptable. Who would give you the wedding quotation over the phone? All quotes and prices or ANY inquiries in general must be corresponded through e-mail, the reason you were calling continuously was to get a cheap price over the phone. This is why we don’t do weddings anymore due to customers like yourself who are expecting a grand service and paying nothing worthy for it. Why would you call 3-4 times in an hour? What would change within an hour? Furthermore, for what reason did you review on TripAdvisor-did you use our services? You should look to have the wedding at a cheap place, not at Verve. You did not use our services so you should not review. Regards, Emma, Main Office.

Was woken in the middle of the night to the sound of dripping coming from the bathroom. I hastily got up to check if I had left the tap on but quickly realised it was much worse. I had walked into the bathroom and stepped into soiled contaminated waste overflowing from the toilet bowl. The smell was absolutely revolting and was making myself and my partner gag. It was overflowing from the bathroom straight onto the bedroom carpet. The waste stack was full and someone in an adjacent room or above us had managed to send the contents of the stack back into our room. Myself and my partner quickly grabbed our belongings and headed to reception and asked if we could move room and explained the situation. The staff were very understanding and offered us a single room as their were no double rooms available. We accepted but obviously had a very uncomfortable sleep sharing a single bed. After our stay we have contacted the hotel multiple times expecting some form of refund or compensation however we have been completely ignored.

I’d like to start of by saying, thankyou for a wonderful stay! Management are great, helpful staff, the bar definitely has the best cocktails in Bedford. I’ve stayed here on countless occasions, doesn’t feel like a hotel but more like home, rooms are nice and clean, different size rooms equipped with fan/ heating. Amir would often ask us if we needed anything, and these little things is why we continue to return. Nice parking area, not a long walk into the hotel like other hotels in Bedford. The interior is lovely with a homely feel. Nice cosy garden with seating, lovely reception team who offer tooth brush, hair brush even a phone charger! Cannot recommend this place enough. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Hotel was nice, check in fast, room nice with tea, coffee and bottled water, although bathroom a bit tight, lovely garden area. We did not have dinner here so cannot comment on that although the menu looked lovely.
However.....breakfast was a joke! Myself and my 2 friends all got up early to get get to breakfast which is only served until 8.30am and when we got there we found that there was no cooked breakfast, only continental. That's fine but a continental breakfast does not consist of a croissant and an egg cup of yoghurt! Oops I mustn't forget the 2 slices of cold toast🙄 at not point when we booked were we told that there was no cooked breakfast....it clearly states on their website the cooked breakfast available. When we went to speak the gentleman at reception, Baz, he was incredibly rude and unhelpful. He lied, would just walk off and ignore us or was rude and a bit confrontational. He would not give us a head office number for Verve hotels. And we were not the only people unhappy this morning! It's such a shame because the breakfast, or lack of, and his attitude, has spoiled what we thought was a lovely little hotel. I've seen the comments on here from the hotel staff when they get a negative review and I cannot believe how rude and insulting they are to people. Rather than apologise and take on board these comments they just want to be nasty so I can see why Baz was the same! Also, although the small car park is free you have to wait for other guests to come and move their car that's blocking you in as the hotel allows double rows of parking. I would like to add that all the other staff we met on our stay were lovely
