We stayed Friday 25th till Tuesday 29th in the Balmoral lodge. This isn’t 5* luxury but it is very comfortable, clean and has all you’d want for a short stay. The bedding is clean, pillows and duvets cozy and warm. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, cutlery and all you’d need for self catering break. The owner made us feel so welcome without being too intrusive. There are plenty of bins for recycling, parking was ample and I never felt that we were looking into the other lodges. The area is so quiet and peaceful within easy access to the town and wider area. Red squirrels play in the trees and jackdaws keep a watchful eye for any scraps! We stayed just outside the school holidays which probably helped keep things quiet. We will defo be back as it’s just the kind of restful, peaceful break we needed. Thanks!

The lodges are situated about 5 minutes walk from Ballater centre, plus 20 minutes from a number of national parks and Glens. The lodges are well equipped with all the usual facilities, but also a communal washing machine and dryer which is really welcome when you are staying for a week. The lodges are very quiet and have the added bonus of red squirrels on site!

This was a first visit to Invercauld Lodges Ballater for my wife and I along with our daughter and her 7 month old Labrador Oscar. We were very surprised what the lodges offered with regards to kitchen facilities everything was there for us. The bedrooms were clean and tidy and the manager Gordon, was very helpful, polite and professional upon our arrival explaining some of the local routes to/from town centre which was only a short distance away. The outside area of the lodge was ideal for Oscar to enjoy the very good weather under the shade of the trees. Having stayed in hotels in Ballater in the past we enjoyed our stay at Invercauld Lodges and will book again in the future. If you haven’t stayed in a lodge then please consider Invercauld Lodges Ballater for your stay - you won’t be disappointed.

Recently returned from Invercauld lodges which are in a perfect location a 5 minute walk to Ballater . I stayed in a well equipped two bed with good wi fi and plenty of television channels, on returning home I realised I had left my electric toothbrush and Gordon posted it back to my home which was appreciated . Hope to return in the autumn.

The cabin was just as we had wished. Real quilts an pillows. The kitchen was so well equipped I took my own knives but I cook for a living. We didn’t really use the TV or the sound system. But I did look and all fantastic from what I can see. WiFi!! Yes and very good. If you want a true experience of Scotland set your alarm for 6.55. Sit out side. You will know when you hear it. Great sound. The owners are so fantastic. Can’t do enough for you. They are amazing.
Oh took peanut for the birds and squirrels. Watching the squirrels playing in the trees was totally amazing . Look up guys it’s amazing What you can see. Over all would I go back?? I’m trying to get holidays booked at work to get back.
Close by oh my word walk you can never tire of. The town itself I did find a little limited for eating out. But hay I found the butcher and the bakery.. need nothing else.

We have stayed here many times and always enjoy our visit. The lodges are very comfortable and well equipped and nothing is too much trouble for the Manager. We look forward to our next visit. Look out for the red squirrels!

Excellent cabins only 5min walk from Ballatar. Clean and have everything you could want to make your stay comfortable . Wee red squirrel in the grounds is fun to watch. Gordon the owner is friendly and has everything in place for a safe visit. Ballatar has a really good family butchers with excellent meat on offer. Wouldn’t hesitated to recommend these cabins for a really great stay.

Another year another lodge. Cannot fault anything about this place. 3 years we have been coming and 3 different lodges we've stayed in each spotlessly clean. Gordon always comes to check you've settled in and everything is ok. Ideal location for us coming with our dog aswell she loves all the woodland and river walks.

Just back from a great week's break at Invercauld Lodges. Lovely setting and a great location for wandering in to Ballater and for exploring Deeside further. The lodge itself was well equipped, very clean really couldn't be faulted. First class.
