Although many places are rated 5 star, this is really a true 5 star experience. This is the most friendly and welcoming guest house we have stayed in. The room was clean, decor of a high standard and the breakfast was truly outstanding. We will definitely be staying here again when in the area.

Our third visit to this fabulous b&b. We were staying over to visit the Christmas lights at Dunham Massey which are a mere ten minute walk away. The rooms are so comfortable and we were provided with the usual selection of teas and coffees. Additionally there were mince pies and a decanter of Sherry which is so lovely and not just for Christmas. We have had Sherry on all our visits. Our hosts always encourage guests to enjoy the communal lounge which is just so cosy with a coal fire to keep us warm on a winter’s night. Also furniture is spaced out enough for social distancing. Then there is breakfast in the beautiful dining room. It’s the best breakfast you will ever have. And so much choice !!! I am ever so slightly reluctant posting this as I dread not being able to get in next time we want to visit. But EVERYBODY should know. It’s wonderful 😊.

A staycation weekend and never been to the area before, everything absolutely splendid from enquiry to check out. We had the Garden Room and really cosy with everything you need plus more, robes provided, big fluffy pillows, proper size kettle and cups and crystal decanter, matching schooner glasses and complimentary sherry, wonderful. Great views and great night's sleep. Breakfast is on another level. Vast menu, simple cereals, traditional choices and special choices. Traditional English options were fabulous and we didn't need to eat again during the day. The porridge is amazing! Very much looking forward to staying here again! David and Janice are wonderful hosts and chef is phenomenal. Our very best wishes to you all during CoVid-19 and thank you for letting us stay with you.

Spent 2 nights here. Stayed in the garden room. The hosts made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and warm and the breakfasts were out of this world and no need to eat till evening. Ideally situated for a walk to Dunham Massey and right next door to the Swan with 2 nicks for evening meal. Can't wait to go back again

It was a one night stay - not far from home but worth every mile! The place was really old but with every mod con you can want. Fantastic breakfast and most attentive hosts. The Sherry decanter in the room was most welcome after a damp day!
