Small, unclean, run-down room. Unlockable door, no staff (except restaurant waiting staff) to help with issues. Very poor WiFi. Milk 3 months out of date. Bedding and bed poor. Not enough towels (and no-one about to resolve). Would not recommend staying here.

I had an overnight stop in London and didn't want to spend it sleeping on the airport floor. After reading several reviews, I almost opted for a comfortable airport bench. Then I found Colnbrook. To add to the decision, when factoring in the cost of a taxi with help from the help desk we discovered that the Holiday Inn shuttle bus stops just doors away. I wouldn't vacation here. But for a place to sleep during an overnight at London Heathrow, this place will do just fine!

We stayed for two nights in order to visit Legoland and Thorpe Park. The room was an average size and comfortable. The location was central to both of our visits. As it is close to Heathrow Airport there were planes taking off or landing regularly but the noise wasn't over bearing.
The guesthouse is owned by the restaurant proprietors (Italian, on the ground floor) but we didn't eat there, it did smell very nice however!
The room was a good price for two but didn't include a breakfast and the bathroom was shared. Unfortunately the water pressure of the shower wasn't great but there was enough hot water.
We would consider a stay here again in the future.

What a shocking experience! We had a late flight in from Heathrow and so this room was booked on our behalf. The room itself seems passable on arrival but then the drama unfolded. The room was hot yet if one opened a window the noise emanating from outside was unbearable. Throughout the night an electric noise (washing machine?) emanated through the room continuously. The smell was overpowering - the fridge provided had not been opened or plugged in for ages. Of the 4 plugpoints in the room one had been boarded up, the second had a television and kettle plugged in, the third was loose in the wall and the switch didn't work rendering one in working order. The bathroom was tiny as well as dirty, the door couldn't close properly as the door frame was broken. The shower had no drain cover and a smell was emanating from there. The toilet had no flusher, we had to insert our fingers into the hole to press a pin!The restaurant was closing as we arrived and no assistance was provided in terms of where we could get a late night meal. All in all a dreadful experience, one which will not happen again. Sleeping at the airport would have been more preferable.

We booked a room via website of the lodge for one night , from yesterday till today. At the booking I wrote a notice, that we intend to use the room only today .We arrived today early morning, and wanted only a short rest near to Heathrow, because our flights departed after a long while in the afternoon.
We reached the Lodge at 8 am. There was NOBODY. The door was open, but nobody was in the building. We called many times the phone number of the lodge and the restaurant, but nobody picked up the phone. We were very disappointed. By the way some days ago we got an email from the lodge to let a confirmation about our arriving. I confirmed it.
It seems, that the Lodge doesn’t work! I am very curious why is it possible to make booking there via website. And I am very curious how will a get back my money paid for nothing

DON’T BOOK there!!!!!!!!

I booked to stay here when looking for a location close to Heathrow Airport. The price was very reasonable and the location was ideal. The fact the the hotel had an italian restaurant and bar on site sealed the deal!

I arrived at the hotel just after 7pm on Sunday night and I had a bit of a red flag that the hotel carpark was empty but I didn't think too much of it until I approached the door and the hotel appeared to be closed. I knocked and a gentleman did come down to let me in to my room but the restaurant and bar were both closed for the evening. When I had booked it hadn't said anywhere that these were closed on Sundays so this was really disappointing for me as it was one of the main reasons I had booked here. Whilst I was checking in, the hotel owner sent someone to check that the room was ready for me and this took quite a while, I think probably more than 10 minutes. I then went up to the room and checked it out. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting - my stomach turned. The sink was covered in a phlegm like substance, the white toilet seat definitely needed replacing and the shower curtain was a 70's pink.....!

I knew there was no way I was going to be able to stay there as the thoughtof of turning the tap on was just too much! Fortunately there was a Holiday Inn Express I had seen on my way in so I grabbed my bag and was out of there! In that time the two staff that had been there had gone and the place was completely deserted again. I just left the key in the letterbox and hurried away as quickly as my feet would take me!

We have had to rate this with a Star but it should be minus any stars. We chose to stay here as we have stayed previously and always been very satisfied. We booked this years trip well in advance to be sure of accommodation as it was a busy time of year. A short time prior to our arrival we were contacted by a Colnbrooke lodge representative and asked for an arrival time. This was difficult as we were traveling from the South coast of England and traffic delays could not easily be determined. However we did give a to be confirmed later ETA. Alarm bells should have been sounding as we had not had this request on previous visits, especially when the lady said that she would meet us there. As it turned out we were the only occupants in this hotel and the lady had to meet us to let us in. Unbeknown to us since our booking was made the business had been SOLD and had new owner(s). We were the only guests and we were locked in by the lady when she left. It was like a ghost hotel, very quiet and eerie. The view from our window was of the kitchen extracter fan outlet and a large pool of fat / Oil on the roof. Our room contained the bare essentials including tea making facilities but NO Kettle. The shower did not work properly and was unusable. Next morning we went down for breakfast and as on previous occasions chose a table, out of the very many that were laid up, probably prior to selling, by the previous owner. The Waitress / Cook / Cleaner, a rather stout dark skinned lady, instructed us to go and sit at a different table, indicating where. This was in a dark alcove close to the kitchen to obviously facilitate her. We had to ask to have the light switched on. Breakfast choice was none, a fry up, take it or leave it. No cereals or other alternatives. I do not eat fried food so tried to eat the toast with no success as it was hard as a rock. This accomodation was unfortunately prepaid and there was no one to see prior to leaving.

Have to rate with one star, but it should be minus. The room was old fashion, holes everywhere. They have left the toilet brush inside the dirty toilet, the pillow protectors had black marks on them, and the white towels had brown ones.
The bathroom was very tiny, they have only left a quarter toilet roll, which obviously run out quickly, no spare one. The shower did not have a showerhead, so the water was going everywhere but not really on you.

This is an extremely dated B & B! Very much like Fawlty Towers!
Rooms are very basic, old fashioned & the bathroom if you can call it that was a joke! Could hardly get in the shower & sink & toilet were so close together it was ridiculous!
Never again!
Needs a major refurbishment.
Have eaten in the Italian restaurant attached to it before and was very good food!

The person in charge the evening we arrived was very rude. We paid and went upstairs, after seeing the room we came back downstairs because the room was of a very poor standard, including badly stained bed covers & badly stained carpet. Wallpaper hanging off the wall. No cot. I had emailed in advance of our trip to arrange a cot as the ad stated that cots are provided upon request. When we asked why there wasn't a cot in the room, the person in charge stated that they don't ever provide cots and then proceeded to blame booking.com for problems. She wasn't interested in sorting anything out or refunding. We were appalled at the woman's attitude and that she stood there the whole time looking rather smug about it all. We gave back the room keys and informed the woman that we couldn't stay, we left immediately. It took us till 12.45am to find a room with a cot and clean to sleep in with our 21-month-old baby.
It's also worth noting that this hotel is located extremely close to the end of the runway, so planes are constantly taking off and landing. The resulting noise is exacerbated in this hotel greatly by the very old windows. There would have been little to no chance of getting any sleep. I am amazed at the other good reviews this place has received because this is truly the worst hotel we have ever seen.
