We had to travel down to Langley for a family funeral. Not the best circumstances but we found this guest house and we thought it was a decent price. We booked directly with the Landlord and we explained the reasons behind the trip and the requirements of the trip. (Twin Room, parking needed as we had a disabled guest) We was ensured by the man that it would all be sorted and that we would be able to park on the front. So on the morning we was due to leave we had a phone call and we confirmed details and the lady said that they was away for a family event so wouldn't be around. So I assumed during our stay we might of at least seen them once but they was not to be seen. Upon arrival I had the code for the front door but unlike promised the cleaner had not left the key in the room so I had to ring and ask for the code to be able to get the key. When we eventually got into the room, the bed was made as a double and I had to ring up and ask for someone to come over and change the bed into a twin not a double. So we went off to see family, I tried to text three times to arrange where I needed to leave the key. No answer.... So when we got back the bed had been done but no staff around. We went to bed and then the following morning there was constant coming and going from 6am till about 8am. It was non stop just not what we expected when we was looking for quiet time to grieve. When we came back from breakfast the cleaner was in the hallway bags of laundry everywhere we had to clamber over them to get to our bedroom. Cleanliness 1) The shower would not drain away upon pulling the drain bit up it was full of hair and black and dirty. 2) The shower and hand soap looked so old and was not even usable .... 3) Tiles black with mould in the shower 4) Bed sheet where marked with black marks and one bed had a sticker stuck to the bed sheet. (Clearly Cleaner not good at her job) 5) Sink dirty and cracked. 6) stairs all dusty 7) floor needed a good hoover dust on edges 8) Batteries dead in both remotes had to buy new 9) Bins not emptied once whilst we stayed. So we was open and honest as to why we was using the guest house and the fact that our family had lost a relative. We was called at stupid O'clock by the owners to ask if we had made payment, even after we paid she still called asking for payment. I reluctantly paid for this stay it was not worth the money Why would you hound guests when we was assured we could pay when we arrived not our fault the family who runs this place do not actually work on the site. When I messaged to say I left an item we was told the cleaner only will look and send it to me if I pay £10. Since when do cleaners decide how much there willing to charge to help a customer out and return an item. So Overall not a good stay.... We will never stay again and anyone thinking of going I would think again.... Cancel now.... Get your money back!!!

Spent last night in room 2. There was a change of how to get the keys and had to phone the owner, but that was sorted easily. The room was clean and warm (quite hot actually). I think we were there on our own. The bathroom was compact and bijou but the shower was really powerful and the temperature was great. TIP-book direct as you can get in earlier (2pm rather than 430pm). And the price is discounted. Toiletries were pump action attached to the wall.

The room was basically clean, but needs refurbishment. There were some amenities that were described and not provided. There are four guest rooms plus the owners accommodation and three parking spaces so they are first-come-first-served. We were told there was free parking a minutes' walk away; while it is a minute away, it is not free between 8am & 6pm. The owner told us he'd "never seen a parking warden"!! This wasn't sufficient for us, so we parked some distance away from the accommodation. Free toiletries were two soap dispensers - one above the sink and one in the shower; the one over the sink was completely blocked and not useable. The drain in our shower had not been cleaned and was blocked with hair. Our room was on the front and quite noisy (which I accept is out of the owners control); but we stayed on a warm weekend so couldn't have the windows open. They had provided a fan, but on night two they changed this for a portable aircon - however, that took up all the space between the desk and one side of the bed and the hose had to hang out of the open window thus letting in warm air and the traffic noise too! The fan should stay. The room is cramped and there is no breakfast provided, nor anywhere to eat it. By the front door there is a microwave and a couple of bowls/plates (assuming they've not already been removed by other guests). It was most definitely NOT an Executive or Superior room and represents quite poor value for money compared to Travelodge/Premier Inn.

Lovely welcome from the owners. Nice to have a fridge in the room and a fan as it was warm. Great facilities. Great power shower. Lovely and clean. Comfortable bed. Not too far from the station for getting around.

We stayed one night, while visiting Pinewood Studios. It was very convenient. When we arrived, around 4pm, there was a lot of traffic outside, as it's on a busy road. We were caught up in a long traffic jam. However, the owner moved her car so that we could have a parking space at the front of the property. There are 3 spaces available. We had the front room, which was clean, modern and very well maintained. The owner and her daughters were all very friendly & welcoming. The road noise died down in the evening, so there was no problem in our room when we returned from the studios. There is no breakfast included, so we walked a couple of minutes down the road into the high street and ate at a cafe. It's nothing fancy, but at least saved us having to search out breakfast further afield. It's a very pleasant guest house. .
