We had a school reunion in their function hall last weekend and loads of us stayed there before and after the event. One of the organizers negotiated a discounted price as there were loads of us staying. Therefore, I didn't check the reviews beforehand, otherwise, I would have stayed away from this hotel. We were given a room (Room # 1) on the very dirty, seedy looking part of the hotel. The carpets were dirty & wet and rooms needed total refurbishment. They had new beddings, small towels and a tiny tube of shower gel in the room. the water was luke-warm and not hot enough to shower, still I had the shower and got ready for the event. Around 8am, the house keeping girls knocked on the door and wanted to clean the room. When I asked them to come later, they said they can only do the service then if not they won't clean the room. This was a weekend and who gets up at 8am on a weekend if they are away from home? I asked her to give me extra towels and toiletries and asked her to go.
When we went back to the room after the event around 2am, we realized the fire alarm lights (a big red one!) were flickering in the room and in the bathroom. We asked the reception to check. The security guard who was at the reception came, took the photos and said he will let us have room number 32 as the guests who reserved hadn't arrived, although he wasn't sure whether we need to pay or not. When I went back to the reception after talking to my roommate, he changed and said I can go and see room number 22. However, when I saw the room, the bed wasn't made up. He said, 'oh it's one of your groups, they checked out just now instead of tomorrow, you can stay the night there!' Not sure why he would think that we would go and sleep on a bed that has not been cleaned! We decided not to take the room and stayed in our room, without any sleep. Apparently, the following morning the receptionist said to my room mate that he offered to swap room and I refused! Yes I did, I refused a used, un cleaned room, not a cleaned, serviced room!
Then the following morning non of the rooms on our side of building didn't have hot water. 3 of called the reception and they told us they have just turned on the boiler, but even after nearly 2hrs, we didn't have hot water. I had to get home un-showered!
Please, please please, avoid this hotel!
The person, who negotiated the discounted price from our group said what you pay, what you get! but there are some basic amenities the guests expect from every accommodation regardless of what you pay and a good night's sleep and hot waters are the very basic you would expect from any kind of accommodation! We didn't get both from this accommodation. I've stayed in hostels where I paid less than here and got more!
This is not worth a penny I paid!

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life. The main building photo online is not the actual hotel. The hotel is in the back one rundown building. Other hotels were fully booked and we had an event to attend at the Ditton Manor. The main building is actually a restaurant with the main entrance under construction or renovation the restaurant staff are absolutely rude and dismissive. Now the hotel lobby and reception staff what a joke constantly focused on what the were watching on their mobile phones. I booked a twin bed room: which I paid extra for and was given a double bed. The bed looked like it had been brought in from a tip there was holes and staples sticking out of the bed base and no headboard. The wall paper was peeling. Mould & watermarks from damp on the ceiling and down the walls. No iron. The bit that changes the bathtub taps to run the shower head was missing took forever to get it to work. The shower curtain rails was rusty as were the handles on the side bed cabinets. There was a hole in the wall. The air conditioning/ heating vent was full of debris/dust. The kettle was full of caulk. The hallway stank like a sewer plant. The bedsheets were filthy we had to put towels on them to even sit on the bed. There was a screw sticking out of the tv wall board mount. There was no snack or drinks vending or ice cubes machine in the hotel. We witnessed night staff drying towels and restaurant napkins on an electric radiator in the lobby. In fact we left at 4 am as we couldn’t sleep in that disgusting room. All we did was get ready for our event come back and pack our things and leave. There was mould and watermarks in the hallway too and rusty radiators. The restaurant & hotel staff have no manners or communication skills 🤦🏽‍♀️

This was literally one of the worst places I have ever seen. The place was dirty, electrically unsafe and that was just the reception. We booked with booking.com arrived around 7:30 and straight away there were already a few people ahead of us arguing with the receptionist saying they want a refund etc. when we finally got to talk to the receptionist he said we may have a problem with your booking can you wait I will call you over when I have more answers? This wasn’t welcome after completing a 14hr day at work but we did. After 20 minutes of watching people arguing with the receptionist demanding a refund we then decided that enough is enough and called booking.com they got the management of the hotel to call us back and told us sorry we don’t have a room for you.
We left and luckily found a room at a local premier inn. Do not book to stay at this place it’s falling apart, no decent staff, dirty and unsafe electrical wiring and you won’t get a room anyway.

Stayed here from 3rd-5th December. The hotel and rooms are NOTHING like any of the photos on any online website. The photo of the entrance is NOT the hotel, it is around the corner. The staff were not helpful, blunt and didn't care. It was noisy at night. Housekeeping shouted early hours of the morning. No curtains in the room. The list goes on and on as to why this stay was truly awful. Made a complaint to the hotel directly with no response. The only positive is the free car parking and the location to the train station, everything else was abysmal.

Do not stay at this hotel. The rooms we were shown to stay in (2 x twin rooms) were terrible, small beds and small rooms, one room sidnt even have carpets in. The pictures on the booking.com website are not realistic to what is actually at the hotel. The receptionist blamed me for booking the room, but when the photos do not show a true view it is then difficult to make an accurate judgement. We had to sign a disclaimer to say we would not take our own food or drink into the room, there wasn't any provisions at the hotel to get food or drink, and when travelling with a disabled person and a 3 year old this is not realistic. When we asked for a refund on one of our rooms, they refused.

We tried to contact in advance to arrange early check in, as we were going to a wedding that started at midday and would have preferred to have had our room key. They didn’t understand what we meant at all and then tried to charge us.
We checked in at around 10:30pm, and we were sent to the other building about a 5 minute walk away. First floor, no lift. So we walk up the stairs, there’s a dodgy one at the top so almost break our necks but not quite.
Get to the room, it’s pretty clean but very basic as expected. There’s a tv. Try to turn it on and it doesn’t work. Thinking it’s probably just broken, we get ready for bed but mum tried to charge her phone, none of the outlets work in the room. Try to call reception, there are a lot of numbers for them and none of them were working.
Get through to a team at oyo, tell them the situation and they want a booking confirmation, which I gave, but apparently the wrong one as we booked through a third party. So he wanted me to call Hotels.com, get another reference and call him back. Then when I pointed out I just wanted to speak to the front desk but we were absolutely freezing and had no electricity in the room (except lights these were working), so he spoke to me like a child again.
My mum finally got through to front desk, after about 10 mins someone came up and said we’re going to have to move next door, so we gather our things and go (in pyjamas) and we’re finally able to get into bed. The TV turned on in the 2nd room but was in another language (warnings) and wouldn’t get a signal so we gave up on that. By now it’s around 1am so we just go to sleep. Every so often you heard people in the hall because the walls were super thin.
Bed was pretty solid, so woke up throughout the night. Up at 8:30am, and around 9:30 I had a shower. Unfortunately this is when the rolling blackouts started. Every 5 minutes, electricity would go off, this time including lights, and then come back a few minutes later. First time this happened I was in the shower, and the room was pitch black so thank you OYO for trying to kill me.
These continued until we left just before 11am every few minutes. Tried talking to reception about it and they just said they’re under new management so work was being done, and these things happen.
So if you want a place to sleep, it’s not the most comfortable but I slept. If you want to charge your phone, relax or have a safe shower, wouldn’t recommend.

Another place where I'd give sero stars if I could. `it's cheap, if you don't mind reception staff belching in your face, answering their mobile mid-conversation and misleading you about room facilities.

I was given two rooms with no functioning TV and the second one smelt horrible so I walked out and went and stayed elsewhere.

The receptionist told every lie in the book about why he couldn't discuss a refund. Wil never stay here again.

Booked through Expedia. Arrived late one evening whilst away for work. Went to my room to find light switches hanging off walls and bare wires. Went to reception who told me they no other rooms available. That was it. Told them I wasn’t going to stay in a room where I could get electrocuted. They didn’t even offer to help find another hotel. I live chatted with Expedia explained the situation and quickly booked an alternative hotel as it was 10pm by then.
Trying to get a refund has been impossible. The call centre phone number sends you round in a loop of getting no answer. When I finally got an answer from Expedia it’s taken them months of trying to get through themselves and the hotel are refusing to refund as we didn’t cancel in accordance with their cancellation. Policy. How the hell was I meant to know that they were going to allocate a room that broke health and safety regulations so that I knew to cancel in time!!!! I even have an email from the hotel reception stating we couldn’t use the room and they had no other available. They’ve tried to say we used the room and had breakfast the next day!!! Lies all lies.
Do not book this hotel and certainly don’t use Expedia.

The worst stay ever! I would never stay here again. I know I had a chea room but I wasn't expecting it to be this poor.
The pillows are the hardest. All night people are talking, music playing in the early hours. Water was cold. Smelling of weed in the room gave me a headache. Receptionist didn't know what to do, he offered me a free drink from the machine and a air freshner. Didnt offer another room. He asked for 20mins to get us hot water. 20mins later, we still had cold water. Walls are dirty. Tv isnt even straight on the wall. The bathroom is tired looking. Even the mirror in the room had marks on it. Cant describe the smell in the room but I can say it wasnt the freshest.
We ended up having a cold shower and just wanted to get out of there!
The light switch is directly behind the headboard so when you lean on the headboard it flips the switch to turning the lights on. Bathroom light doesn't turn off at all. Extractor fan doesnt work either. Oh and the phone doesn't even work.

This hotel should not be operating and is listed as 4 star!!! It is in desperate need of a full refurbishment. We were staying for a friends 40th, I would not want to house anyone there let alone for a special occasion, the paper is peeling off the walls, there is black mould, the bedrooms are awful, floors look water damaged and are sticky to walk on. The fire escape door is smashed the bathrooms are completely run down it was beyond dirty. Outside as your drive in the weeds are overgrown, window frames are falling apart and there are overflowing skips and broken down vehicles in the car park and that’s even before setting foot inside!!
