Set in a good location close to the town centre and beach, this was a cracking B&B. We were made welcome by our friendly hosts, who wanted to ensure we had the most enjoyable stay. Breakfast was delicious and all the rooms were spotlessly clean. Our room at the rear was very comfortable with tea coffee and milk replenished every day. Parking at the rear was ideal which led onto a large landscaped garden which had a variety of seating areas, if we had visited in the summer, we would have made use of these. All in all, we would thoroughly recommend.
We booked a couple of rooms here for myself, the wife and her brother. I was on a motorcycle doing a trip. I arrived absolutely wet through and not wanting to sully the room or house I stripped and changed outside. The owners, Graham and Jo couldn't have done more to help, taking my wet kit and storing and drying what they could. The room was excellent, very comfortable, clean and with all the usual fineries. We had a great nights sleep. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and the choice was wide. Theres loads of parking and theres only a short walk to the town. We couldn't have asked for more. Well done
Spent a full week at the Southcombe which lived up to it’s five star rating. Hosts were friendly and made us feel welcome. Excellent CORDAV precautions were in place. Rooms were of high standard and thoroughly cleaned each day. We were onB&B terms but the hosts provided evening meal on five of our seven days so we didn’t have the hassle of finding a safe establishment where we could eat. Over all a very pleasant experience
Fantastic B&B. Very reassured by the things put in place in the light of Covid. Perfectly clean, breakfast great, very good location. Hosts are very friendly. They accommodated our requests without any problem. Would definitely stay again.
My friend and I stayed in the twin bedded room on the ground floor for five nights. This room is at the back of the house near to the car park - it was very quiet. This was ideal for us and we would definitely stay here if we visit Sidmouth again. The room was very clean and compact with plenty of storage and an en suite shower/toilet. There were french doors opening up onto a patio where we sat out on an evening - this was a bonus. Breakfast was good, it was freshly prepared and filling. Choice of tea or coffee, fruit juice, cereals followed by either full english breakfast, choice of eggs on toast (scrambled, boiled, poached) or tomatoes on toast. Also extra toast with jam or marmalade. Jo and Graham are particular about cleanliness especially in view of the covid situation. There is hand sanitiser stationed outside public areas. Our hosts offered advice on local amenities and were friendly. We had a lovely stay and thought the room rate was excellent for what was offered. I almost forgot - the beds were really comfortable!…
