Lynstead House is a fine large Victorian house with five double bedrooms all en-suite. At the back is car parking for all our guests, plus a private garden that you can enjoy, running down to the River Sid. The rooms at the rear overlook the beautiful Byes Park which offers our guests a lovely riverside level walk into town and the seafront.

A weekend away to celebrate our Anniversary. Lynstead House made it even more special , Linda and Gary are really wonderful hosts and the house is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean , the rooms are decorated in contemporary style and are so relaxing . Most 4 star hotels could learn from the breakfast prepared by Linda. All our stresses soon disappeared . We really did not want to leave , but have booked again

Our first stay in Sidmouth and Linda and Gary are so welcoming. Lovely guest house - immaculately clean and great room overlooking park which was a beautiful walk into Sidmouth following the river. Breakfast was cooked to order and plenty of fresh fruit, cereal , yoghurt. Scrambled egg/smoked salmon was perfect. Easy parking at rear of house - all round faultless. Thankyou for great 3 days you deserve your 5 star recommendations.

We had a wonderful time at Lynstead House, nothing was too much trouble for Linda and Gary. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was superb with fruit and cereal followed by full English. Location was ideal with an easy, short walk to the town centre and beach.

Another brilliant stay. Lynstead House is beautifully kept with parking and easy access to the town, country walks and the sea front. There is also a good pub just a few minutes walk away. Gary & Linda are very welcoming and their food is excellent. Sidmouth is a lovely town with interesting shops, bus services, a theatre a cinema and plenty of eateries and drinkeries!.

Lynstead was very comfortable, spacious and ideally located in relation to the town, just a 5 min level walk. The room had everything we needed and more, and was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and plentiful. We even had freshly made brownies when we arrived, which was a very nice surprise 😊 What really made the trip for us was the hosts, Gary and Linda. They were so helpful, made us feel very welcome and relaxed, like we were visiting old friends. Would love to stay there again one day.

The best B&B we have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean throughout and fairly priced. There is absolutely none of that unmatched furniture, faded crockery and dodgy plumbing you get in a lot of places because all the fixtures, fittings and consumables right down to the loo rolls are good quality. Our room (#1 first floor) was immaculately decorated with a smart bathroom and good shower and it overlooked the private off-street parking with woodland behind. The dining room is fresh and bright with choices for breakfast, with the full English being well cooked, tasty and nicely presented. The proprietors, Linda and Gary, are very friendly and helpful without being intrusive and overall I can recommend this establishment with great confidence.
