We've stayed before and will stay again, this being our preferred hotel in Scarborough. Handily located on South Cliff but close to the town and all local attractions. Literally minutes from the town centre across either the Valley or Spa bridges (use the latter, it's far and away the more elegant and offers better views). Anyway, back to the hotel;... More

What can I say, I booked this for myself, wife and my friends and was so embarrassed when I saw the state of the rooms, I know it's cheap, so I didn't expect a palace. But there is no need for the rooms to be dirty, the shower had mould around the tray and door the shower head needed to... More

Arrived at reception to be greeted to a remark " I was doing some admin but I suppose I could book you in" made us feel very welcome. Room was grubby, very tired and no headboard, very small, no mirror near the sink and no where to put your toiletries or hang up your bathtowel. Bed and linen was very... More

This has to be the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. When we arrived the receptionist had trouble booking us in as she said she was busy doing her paperwork (How-Rude). The reason they received one star was the beer was drinkable. But I have to say it was very very dirty stains and dust every where. The water... More

Basic hotel but clean. Has a lift. Continental breakfast was adequate. friendly staff. Friday night entertainment. Close to local shops. Not too far from hill lift down to the buses. A pleasant walk to town centre. Bit of a hill climb back to hotel from town

We booked a double room but on arrival were given a twin which looked as if it had been used as a storage room. There was no place for a bedside lamp or table. The table was in the corner of the room next to the tv aerial socket but minus a tv. For £45 which includes no breakfast to... More

Room was lovely and very clean, was tidied after every night as well. Bathroom was a little small with only a bath but for the price can't moan! Really enjoyed our stay and would go again! Staff very nice as well☺️

The hotel is well placed, the rooms are clean (when you arrive), it has a decent priced bar. That's about it for positives. The negatives. In our room the shower was in the room, literally in the room, as was the wash basin. There isn't an extractor fan either. Thankfully at least the toilet had a door. The room wasn't... More

Very good for price, comfortable light room. Staff very nice. Had a lovely full english breakfast. The cleaning staff did a good job and made sure we had ample supplies of tea coffee etc. View was pleasant and hotel is well located, shops and beach in walking distance.

Well where do I start? The outside appearance of the place is horrible to say the least! It doesn't seem to have had a lick of paint for years! There are large weeds actually growing on the building! There was dirty fingerprints on each of the doors we went through! When we found our room on the third floor we found that... More
