The Cavendish is an eight bed roomed 4* Self Assessed Guest house situated in the South Cliff Area of Scarborough. We are approximately 5 mins walk away from the Spa complex and the South Beach and a 15 minute leisurely walk into Scarborough town centre. The guest house has been owned and run since November 2011 by Robert and Joanna who pride themselves on their good food and hospitality. The Cavendish has a guest lounge, bar and dining room. All rooms are en-suite with showers and equipped with flat screen T.V, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryers and clock radio-alarms. Parking is on street and all parking permits required for the duration of your stay are provided free of charge.

Just got back from a mini break at The Cavendish and would highly recommend it. The hosts Rob and Jo are a lovely friendly couple and have done everything possible to make your stay safe in these difficult times. The rooms are immaculate and extra precautions have been made to ensure you feel comfortable. There is a good choice of menu for breakfast but I can highly recommend the "Full English" which is very filling!! Would definitely stay again.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and we would highly recommend. Lovely place and was spotlessly clean throughout. Jo and Rob who own it were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room we had was again very clean and it was a lovely room. It is very modern throughout and much better than hotels we have stayed at previously in the area. You get a parking permit also so you can park on the street at no extra cost. Breakfast in the mornings was very good. Big portions and very nice too. I had pancakes on the first morning and they were delicious and had the scrambled egg and salmon the following day and this was lovely too. I really enjoyed the brown toast too. It was all very fresh and home cooked. We will be staying here again when we go back to Scarborough. Think this should be a 5 star by far as met all our expectations and if this was on four in a bed would definitely win hands down.…

Returned last week from a 4 night short stay. Have to say given the weird times we live in Jo and her husband could not have been more friendly (a proper Yorkshire welcome) or helpful. I was traveling with my son and 74 year old mum who had pretty much been isolating since March and she felt incredibly safe inside the property with the measures put in place. Great selection for breakfast and a huge portion if you go for the full!!! All in all not the holiday abroad we had planned but a great few days away and would happily recommend this B&B to anyone heading to the Yorkshire coast this year. Thanks Jo

Derek & I stayed here five years ago. So when we decided to revisit Scarborough we knew exactly where we wanted to stay. Rob & Joanna are absolutely amazing hosts, there B&B is spotless! And you’ll be very pleased to hear that they very much adhere to the new regulations regarding Covid-19 too. The breakfast is extremely tasty, and a great choice too. They are extremely helpful, providing free on street parking and have a lot of knowledge about the local area. Our stay here has been equally as great as the first time we experienced Scarborough. We stayed at the Cavendish for three nights, in room 8, a lovely big family room. We have previously stayed in a double here too. Lovely B&B, very clear rules with regard to Covid, which made us feel very safe- Thank you! Excellent breakfast, lots of choice & nice & hot & freshly made- thjnk we tried everything. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely couple who run the Cavendish. Immaculate B&B & everything is thought of- lots of extras & absolutely love the branded toiletries! Really enjoyed our stay & we will definitely be back soon 😁
