A large Victorian town house ideal as a holiday guest house. Good sized bedroom with modern ensuite facilities. Delightful guest lounge. Excellent breakfast choices. Very pleasant host who attended graciously to our needs and requests, ensuring that we had a very pleasant and fulfilling stay in Scarborough.

Stayed here on the way back form scotland. The owner was very warm and wlecoming. Very helpful when sorting out parking and suggestions of things to do. The hotel is a little out of centre, which is nice as it is quiet and easy to sleep. Its a nice walk down to the promenade. The room was nice and spacious,... More

This was just out of the centre of town but was within walking distance. The people who ran it were really nice upon arrival and helped with parking round about. Room was nice and was clean. Would definitely recommend and would stay their again!

Booked this at the last minute. All staff most helpful and welcoming, especially the boss. Rooms clean and modern. Breakfast wonderful. I will certainly stay there again. One slight warning, don't go there if you struggle to climb stairs. Otherwise superb.

We booked last minute and the toilet was small which the manager apologised for when we checked in however i have to say it was completely acceptable for the two nights we stayed. Fab location, fab staff. So clean and... More

The maynard offered a great location for our visit to Scarborough, parking though is a bit hit and miss dependable on availability of spaces outside the b and b. The hosts though were very helpful. The guest house accommodation was very spacious and comfortable , the beds were extremely comfortable.

Last minute booking and only able to stay 1 night but would have loved to stay longer. Its not a "posh" hotel but the friendly staff, great traditional breakfast and clean room, plus comfortable bed (my hubby said it was one of the best for a hotel) more than make up for that. The house has character, so be prepared... More
