Had a wonderful weekend at the chessington, room was excellent, very clean and a fantastic view. The owners were absolutely brilliant with my 2 children and my 3 year old is even wanting to go back to see " the nice lady" highly recommended!!

Stayed at my favourite Scarborough hotel for another short 3-day break and, as usual, was not disappointed - friendly owners and staff (and friends), comfy room and usual excellent freshly cooked breakfast to start the day. Look forward to coming back next year for a few more short breaks.

Arrived in Scarborough by train and only a short walk to the hotel, front of the hotel is situated on a quite looking street with a small park area infront. Outside seating available. Just had a 3 night stay good location but parking can be a problem but managed to find a spot, our room had a fantastic view second floor, the room itself was a bit tired the curtains came off the rails so had to faff about with them room size was not the biggest space but adequate the bathroom could... The Chessington is a family-run B&B in an Edwardian hotel. We had a room at the top with great views of The Crescent and of South Bay beyond it. We have stayed at this hotel which is a B&B many times before. Kate & Adrian who run this are excellent hosts. It is ideally placed for all amenities ie shops, beach, walks and railway station. Not brand new but with traditional charm. Staff I met were all very friendly and checking in took only seconds. Room was small but not cramped. Breakfast was substantial, in scope and quantity. I think you would struggle to find anything to compare for the price.

We stayed 2 nights and had a front room at the top. The hotel was obviously a bit classy in its time but is now showing its age. As many reviews have said, it's a traditional style of hotel, quite dated, but charming. The female owner was very friendly. Lovely location on the crescent.
