We stayed here for 5 nights and from the moment we were met by Rebecca nothing was to much trouble. We stayed in room 1 a lovely double room with a beautiful bathroom and a lovely deep bath, ideal for soaking in after long walks on the Cleveland way or the Yorkshire Moores. Breakfast was amazing such a great choice with quality ingredients, I was introduced to Haggis and Vegan Haggis and I am now hooked and had ordered some by the time I had got home. The first day we arrived we were too tired to go out for tea so we ordered the Cheese and Charcuterie slate for our room and can recommend them as they were delicious. If you are ever looking for a place to stay in Scarborough we would 100% recommend The Cordelia.

Property's Favourite Review
Had a wonderful three night stay at The Cordelia recently with no complaints about anything! Greeted warmly upon arrival by James who explained covid measures etc, and offered us fresh milk for a brew. We stayed in room 5 which is a double, en-suite room. The bed was comfortable with plenty of additional bedding if needed. The tea tray was well stocked with a selection of teabags, hot chocolate, coffee and biscuits. There was even a Tunnocks Caramel Wafer for our welcome; who doesn’t love those?! The bathroom was wonderful; a fantastic size, great shower, plenty of towels and lovely toiletries that smelled gorgeous. There was even an addition of anti-bac soap, alongside side their usual soap, to help fight covid. The breakfast was delicious and there was a great choice including cereal, fruit, porridge and then your cooked items. Due to covid we were asked to order our breakfast the day before using the cards provided, and we felt this worked really well. The Cordelia offer supper slates for an additional fee which they deliver to your room for 5.30 pm, and can be eaten for up to four hours after. We ordered both the cheese and meat slates, and it was delicious! A fabulous selection of local produce served with a selection of crackers, bread, olives, pickled onions, apricots, walnuts, and chutney/chilli jam. We enjoyed every mouthful and was stuffed afterwards! Rebecca came out every morning after cooking breakfast to say hello to everyone, which was lovely. Checkout was easy and seamless, and we asked to leave our bags until later in the day which was no problem at all. Would definitely recommend The Cordelia if you are staying in Scarborough and are already looking for when we can return! Thank you, Rebecca and James.

The Cordelia is a beautiful boutique hotel which is clean and spacious. It is furnished luxuriously and every room is finished in sympathy with the property's heritage. The outstanding features are the hospitality and food. Its location is perfect for visits to Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby, Filey and Bridlington. Scarborough South Bay in an easy walk away and the North a little further but worth a visit.

Room Tip: Don't panic about parking. We secured a space near the hotel daily and Rebecca gave us a permit...

The Cordellia is without doubt, a luxury 5* experience. From start to finish, the whole experience is wonderful. The rooms are very spacious with a seating area, smart TV and full luxury facilities and lovely comfy (massive) bed. Public areas have such attention to detail and all the furnishings throughout are antiques with some lovely wee nick-nacks to catch your eyes as you pass. Breakfast is superb and plentiful. We pre-ordered night before and all waiting for us in morn. Quality is superb. Rebecca, James and team are so friendly and attentive at breakfast, nothing too much trouble. You can pre-book a cheese/meat slate for eating in your room for dinner which is delivered at 5.30. We ordered both and the choice is immense - lots of local cheeses meats, pickles, olives, crackers, bread. Loved it! We would 100% book again and recommend the Corellia when next in Scarborough.
