This hotel is the best we have stayed in so far in Scarborough. Rebecca is a perfect hostess and went above and beyond to get us settled. The room was really comfortable with a big bed and feather duvet and pillows. The breakfasts are delicious with good choices. The home made jam was delicious. We will definitely be staying again.

What a delightful boutique B&B! So glad we found this place. Just off the main road, but still so quiet and just a short walk from the sea on the south side of Scarborough. The Cordelia is beautifully furnished with some lovely vintage pieces and we adored the sweeping staircases and pretty guest lounge - a lot of thought has gone into the feel of this hotel. Rebecca knows how to look after her guests and make them feel welcome. Our room, which was the smallest double on offer, was perfect! Cosy, warm, large modern shower room, lots of toiletries provided, plenty of storage for our suitcases, and a well-stocked refreshments tray with lots of choice of teas/coffee (and proper mugs! - thank you, cannot stand the usual tiny cups and saucers most places give you). Bed was super comfy (and I have sciatica so I know!). Breakfast was just the best - absolutely delicious! I had smashed avo on toast with halloumi and poached egg, and also tried the full English which was amazing. You fill in a form the night before so can order as many breakfast items as you would like, for a tailor-made meal. If you are looking for a hotel in Scarborough, I thoroughly recommend this one.

This is a lovely guest house! The couple who run it are friendly, professional and helpful, and the hotel is comfortable, attractively furnished and spotlessly clean. They offer breakfast, which is pre-ordered and so individually cooked, using top-quality produce, apparently locally sourced wherever possible. There are no other dining room meals, but by request a cold platter can be delivered to your room for a supper at any time in the evening. I ordered a cheese slate which sported five local (and delicious) cheeses served with crusty bread, several different crackers, pickled onions, olives, two different chutneys, walnuts and dried apricots - a real feast. The hotel is situated only a couple of hundred yards from the cliff top in beautiful South Bay. It was a lovely stay and I hope to return.

The small, welcoming Cordelia is situated on South Cliff and is owned and run by James and Rebecca. On arrival we were greeted by James, who firstly gave us the necessary card and disc for free on street parking. After showing us the ground floor guest lounge, he then showed us to our room which was really spacious. The bed was king size, two easy chairs, there was a tray set up for tea, coffee and biscuits, a flat screen tv with remote and an en suite with toilet, wash basin, a range of toiletries, shower cubicle and the biggest bath towels I have ever seen. A few minutes after arriving, Rebecca appeared with thick slices of buttered date and walnut cake as a welcome. We were given cards to complete to order breakfast for the next day. Breakfast was excellent. In addition to the usual fruit juice, cereals, toast and jam you could order a fruit bowl consisting of fresh, sliced banana, strawberry, grape and melon - very refreshing, smashed avocado with grilled haloumi on toast with a fried egg, a generous slice of smoked salmon and scrambled egg on a toasted bagel or compose your own "full english". Although dinner was not served, you could order a Supper Plate - a cheese plate or a charcuterie plate. This consisted of 5 cheeses or meats together with crusty bread and butter, assorted crackers, nuts, apricots, pickled onions, olives and various relishes. The Supper Plates were served in your room. James and Rebecca are really friendly, welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble. At breakfast, Rebecca is always asking if you want more of anything - you will never go hungry at The Cordelia! One nice touch - the hand and bath towels were colour coded - one set white and the other coloured so there was no "is this mine or yours?" The Cordelia is the 7th place we have stayed in Scarborough and is certainly top of our list for future visits, 10/10 from us. NOTE: although on South Cliff, buses pass the end of the street and the Tramway down to the Spa runs from just along from the bottom of the street.

Everything about The Cordelia is 5*. Cleanliness, service, food, bedding and room tray. Nothing has been forgotten by Rebecca and James. Our second stay here and we'll be back again. It's location is a perfect base for walking and exploring and coming back to our huge comfortable room was a treat.

We have just got back from our 4th stay at the Cordelia and many of the guests you speak to have been many times so that speaks for itself. The building is a beautifully restored victorian villa with seven bedrooms all tastefully decorated with comfy beds and pillows . There is a kettle and fully stocked tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate/ biscuits tray which is replenished daily and two tunnocks bars first day . The bathrooms are well appointed with some rooms having baths as well as showers with good quality fluffy towels and toiletries. There is normally tea and home made walnut cake on arrival , we were early and dropped off our cases and went into town so missed out on the cake ( our fault ) but it is delicious !! The breakfasts are lovely with quality products and great choice on the menu which you can choose the day before on a tick off list that you leave in the bowl outside the dining room . On road parking is free with a permit that is given to you on arrival and I've always found a spot . James and Rebecca are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble . Can't wait for our next visit .

We stayed in the twin room, it was very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The breakfasts and platters were amazing, so delicious and filling. Everything was perfect. Thank you... We would highly recommend staying at The Cordelia. We will definitely return.

We've just had a lovely short break at the Cordelia. Our room was really comfortable and very clean. There was a good choice of teas & coffee, with fresh milk on request. There is a good hairdryer in the room and iron & ironing board on request. The bathroom was very spacious with a separate shower and spotlessly clean. Good quality bedding and towels, with a good supply of Noble Isles toileteries. The breakfast choice is varied, and the quality is excellent - nothing is too much trouble. There is permit parking on the road (permit provided by The Cordelia), and we didn't have any problems getting a space. The location was perfect for us and we would have no hesitation in highly recommending a stay here - we will definitely book again when next in Scarborough.
