Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The worst place I ever stayed. Literally no facilities, empty dim shacks with no place for rubbish and no sweeping brush. You have to take literally everything from cups, cooker and bedding.Charge you an extra 5 pounds a night for electricity with the lowest wattage of bulb that barely lights up the shack. Shack is the right word for it. They turned off my brothers electricity at 7am on the morning of departure to his caravan. Showers were freezing cold. Hated every second of the over priced unpleasant place. Go somewhere else.

We booked the site for a wedding, including some accommodation, all I can say is we all had the most amazing day, from start to finish, the wedding tipi was amazing, decorated sympathetically, it was all we expected and more. As for kerry and the staff nothing was too much trouble, such a pleasure to work with, all which made an absolutely fabulous day.. Would highly recommend 👌

Fantastic campsite brilliantly placed to explore Scarbourgh and surrounding area. We stayed in one of the Woodcutters Cabins and it was perfect, clean tidy, comfy beds. The site itself was well maintained and child friendly. Shower block was clean and well equipped. The site felt safe and well run with everyone on site being friendly. Perfect for a family get away with a cowboy twist! - definitely going back next year just for longer !!!

This was the second time we have stayed at Pinewood Park , this time we went for the family retreat with hot tub and we weren’t disappointed . The cabin had loads of room but still had a cosy feel to it. It did rain but it was still warm in the cabin and the hot tub was always welcoming and undercover so could stay in regardless .The shower/toilet block are spotless.Kerry was available if we did need anything . We will definantly book again

I booked the helicopter glamping after seeing a Facebook and, before internal photos were available. My partner and I have done a lot of glamping holidays at various price points. At £160 a night (plus electric) this was definitely at the upper end. The helicopter was cool, and had been converted in a way that preserved many of the internal features. However, unlike other luxury glamping facilities I've stayed in, it didn't have a bathroom - the shared campsite facilities were a short distance away. Cooking facilities were limited to a fridge, kettle and microwave, although you could also bring a barbecue (which would have been unusable in the heavy rain we had). Bedding, towels etc were also not provided. Mobile signal on the site was excellent - probably because it's next door to GCHQ. The site owners were friendly, and very helpful when the electric kept cutting out. The site was virtually deserted and eerily quiet. It was quite spooky at night. The theming of the site is Wild West, and some of the statuary plays on racist stereotypes of indigenous Americans. I attributed this to ignorance, rather than anything more sinister initially, however, just before leaving the site, I noticed that the door to the barn (where weddings and parties are held) was open and a large Confederate flag was clearly visible. This flag is commonly used to denote support for white supremacist beliefs. This felt inappropriate and exclusionary. I didn't raise the issue of the flag with the owners at the time, as given the violent tendencies of many white supremacists, I didn't feel safe to do so. If it was being displayed innocently, I hope they will take this feedback on board.

Wow, what a break! Loved it! Such a unique experience, lovely friendly welcome, quiet peaceful site and just 2 miles from Scarborough. Had a great day in Whitby too, stunning North Yorkshire countryside and the steps in Scarborough certainly helped work up an appetite. Thankyou for helping us make memories 🚁

So happy I managed to get a last minute break in the Tree Cabin this weekend. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and made sure we had everything for a perfect stay. The cabin was very cozy and beautifully decorated throughout and it stayed warm all night. The toilet and shower block was immaculate and it was a lovely and very charming, peaceful place to be. It was the perfect spot for some wonderful star gazing, we will definitely be going back.

I don't normally do reviews but because the stay wasn't as good as expected I thought others might find an alternative view useful. Having booked a two night stay based on the excellent reviews and attractive pictures, I imagined twinkly lights, camp fires, chatter and children playing, it all sounded worth paying that bit extra. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and our pitch was a generous size. Toilets were clean and the shower was hot, all good. But despite these initial good impression we couldn't help notice how quiet the site was, there was hardly anyone else there, it felt odd, eerie even, especially as it was still the summer holidays. We barely heard or saw anyone during our stay, which I'm sure would suit most people, but as parents of an only child we always look forward to seeing our daughter making new friends. There is no playground at the site just a separate area for ball games, but with no one around there was no one to play with. The site is also littered with signs, notes reminding guest of the site rules, it did seem a bit OTT and unwelcoming. Other observations that haven't been mentioned in other reviews which I think are worth noting is the lack of lighting. The entrance to the site is not lit and drivers must navigate a sharp turn from the main road onto a single track. The toilet block is also unlit, and there are more notes reminding you to turn off the interior light on exit, so I would certainly think about bringing a torch especially as access is up a flight of steps. The walk back to our pitch was also very uneven, so watch out for hidden divets! I had hoped to find a relaxed, happy place with a bit of a vibe but was left disappointed and we wouldn't be back.
