Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel is very comfortable with friendly and efficient staff. We really enjoyed our two nights stay. The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We will certainly stay here again if we return to Scarborough.

As always the room was clean & very very comfortable! We have stayed in many premier inns around the country. Purely on the hotel side of things this was by far the best experience of them all. George & the whole team. (bar one) were all very welcoming. The meal deal was very god value for money. The choice for breakfast & the evening meal was extensive & very good quality! Then you in particular to George, Dan, Elliot, little Megan & bit bigger Megan. You were amazing! Sean, Gina, Ken & Val. X

Stayed on Sunday for a single night but not allowed into the room until 3pm, unless I paid another £10.00. As I arrived around 1.30pm I thought this was excessive and did not pay. When allowed to our room it was clean and tidy. The outlook from the window was over the bins and air conditioning units but looking beyond this we did have a view of the castle. If the price was right I would stay again

Stayed in a family room for 2 nights, friendly staff, plenty of parking (chargeable between 9am and 6pm) and room ok also. Bed wasn’t the comfiest but room was pretty clean, shower pressure good too. Had dinner on the first night when arriving which was fine. For the price, no complaints at all.

We received a warm welcome at the North Bay hotel. Our room was nice and spotlessly clean. Everything felt new and everything worked. We loved the central location that had the benefit of car parking spaces.

This was a break at Scarborough for my wife's birthday. The hotel is excellently located near to Scarborough North Bay with a large car park (£6 for 24 hours) and is very modern. The food and drink were excellent both at the evening meal and also at breakfast the following morning. The only downside was the fact that whoever was in the room above us were stomping about at 11pm at night when we were wanting to go to sleep and again at 7.30 in the morning. There are notices in the hotel requesting residents to be quiet in the corridors and rooms for the comfort of other visitors but it appeared whoever was in the room above paid no heed to these requests. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean and tidy. The car parking fee was very useful as it could also be used for parking on the seafront at Scarborough and at the car park in Whitby where we went after breakfast making it good value for money.

Staff member Ryan was particularly helpful and friendly. Went out of his way to help and make sure everything was ok. Hotel restaurant did run out of all forms of bread on the Sunday night of my stay which I thought was poor considering there’s a Tesco up the road. I was served bruschetta on something different to what stated on the menu and wasn’t forewarned. Then I was unable to order the burrito and burger. Again not informed that there were no buns or tortillas before I ordered.
