What an amazing place to stay. Very remote and quiet set within its own grounds. The food is amazing and the staff are even more too. A very special thankyou to Matthew and Lee in the bar for wonderful conversation. Sitting by the real log fire and hearing about the history of the building from Lee was wonderful. The room was spectacular very clean and had all the necessities needed. Only downside was no room service to clean the room each day but we was told this is only due to covid rules atm so this is understandable. We can't wait to return again in the summer.
We went to Wrea Head Hall to celebrate my 60th Birthday. What a truly wonderful experience we had. We had booked into Room 1, which was exquisite. Every little detail was just perfect! We were given a complementary cream tea which was served graciously with a smile by Marian, and later we were served one of the most delicious meals I have every tasted at dinner. So much so, that we asked to meet the chef, Andrew. It was superb food! The staff went the extra mile at every opportunity. Lee, with boundless energy, who served us champagne under the stars & was a total joy: Caitlyn with a ready smile on reception: Evie who served us beautifully at dinner... the list goes on. Kevin, the General Manager can be justly proud of his team. They really are top notch. We met & thanked Gerry & Mark, the owners who were lovely & have obviously invested heavily in this glorious hotel. It shows! If you want to experience the best, book Wrea Head Hall. It was the perfect place for us to celebrate & we shall certainly be back. Thank you all so much x…
Just returned from a night away at Wrea Head Hall. It was a surprise night away booked by my husband. First time we’ve been but will definitely go back. Lovely accommodation, fantastic food (genuinely the nicest meal I’ve had in a long time) and great staff who were very pleasant as well as very attentive.
This hotel was exceptional, everything about the place , sweeping drive up to the gothic country hotel, set in woodland and fields, with terrific scenery, tucked away in a secluded , peaceful area. The staff where extremely polite and helpful, and would go the extra mile, the room also was very pleasant, I would say the only downside, was I think my room was above the kitchen, and kept hearing a door banging , however this would both out me off returning 10/10 awesome 👌
We have been visiting the Wrea Head for many years and the standards are always first class. We decided this time to book a room in the newly renovated annex, we had the room with the courtyard entrance. We would not book this room again, we could here what sounded like a boiler next door which was continuously switching itself on and off, also someone upstairs in size 12,s walking across the creaky floor. Apart from that we had great service, the bar is very relaxing and the food is excellent.
