We recently had a second stay at The Beaches after a last minute decision to get away for a short break and as always our stay didn’t disappoint. Malc and Janice are fabulous hosts and can’t do enough to make your stay just perfect. The Guest House is spotlessly clean in every area and although it’s very dog friendly you really wouldn’t know! We took our dog for the stay and she was made extremely welcome... a little too welcome my husband would argue as she got more sausages than him for breakfast! But then she did order just sausage where he’d ordered full English ☺️ Stayed in Room 4, spacious, clean, with a generous tea tray and plenty of fresh milk in the mini fridge, nice touches with dog blanket/mat and wine glasses at the ready! Great location too being near Peasholme Park and the beach, plenty of fab cafes and bars nearby again all dog friendly. Parking readily available and free with parking permit provided. Ohh nearly forgot the breakfast! amazing choice all expertly cooked by Malc, piping hot, freshly cooked and topped off by toast with Malc’s homemade marmalade..... simply perfect. The farewell gift of freshly homemade flapjack completed another amazing stay at The Beaches.

Room Tip: Room four is fabulous but room five with the small balcony to the front is amazing.

We decided to do a staycation this year and booked to stay at The Beaches. Janice and Malc are the perfect hosts, everything about our stay was perfect. The Beaches is located on the north bay and less than 5mins walk from Peasholm Park and 5 mins to the beach. It is a pleasant 15/20 min walk to the south shore. The rooms have everything you need, tea and coffee making facilities, TV with Netflix, WiFi, comfy bed and great shower. As well as a great breakfast where you can choose anything you like we also opted for the evening meal which was fantastic! This B&B is very dog friendly, Malc even cooked extra sausages for him! Would highly recommend, this is the perfect place to stay when visiting Scarborough

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was amazing, just down the road was Peasholm park and the north beach. Town was only a 10min stroll away. Janice and Malc were so welcoming to both us and our little dog. Our room was sparkling clean, comfortable and quiet. We had a good nights sleep every single night. The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and beautifully cooked. Malc even cooked for our dog each morning! Nothing was too much trouble, we really needed to chill out after a busy couple of months and this place did the trick. Thankyou so much for welcoming us into your home xx

A very last minute choice due to original planned arrangements being scuppered, but so glad we made this choice. From the warm welcome to the sad goodbye our stay was perfect. Janice & Malcolm you are the perfect hosts. So enjoyed our chats and the chance to share your home. It’s been amazing, it really has. The room was ideal for our needs, clean, fresh and warm, bed very comfortable and en-suite facilities spacious and tidy. We would highly recommend this wonderful haven in Scarborough. Breakfast choice covers everyone’s needs, from porridge, fresh fruit and cereals to Malcom’s wonderful full English. Tea, coffee, fruit juice it’s all available, alongside toast and home made jam and marmalade. Wonderfully presented with a smile and warm natter. Great time was had and one we will certainly be repeating in the future using this lovely residence. No hesitation in giving 5/5 in this review and when we visit again we will certainly be making use of the evening menu that looked delightful. Thank you again Janice & Malcom it’s been a real treat and a pleasure.
