Having used this hotel on several occasions in the last few years, and booked again for later this year, it is sad to hear of its imminent closure. I wish now that I had given it reviews whilst it was still operating. It had its faults but overall the place and the people working in it were very good. Just...

An old fashioned hotel. Staff were really helpful There was a good selection for breakfast and good sized portions. Unfortunately there was very little hot water. It was a cold day in Scarborough so we needed a hot shower to warm up.

See the hotel's website for confirmation. It is a great shame as there are few decent hotels left in Scarborough. I hope it continues as a hotel although convserion to apartments must be a temptation.

We stayed here for three nights in a suite which was quite magnificent, lovely and warm and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel. It is convenient for shopping, the beach, theatre and transport.

Also the Brunswick shopping centre across the road which my wife loved but sadly my pocket did not . The two restaurant areas are well laid out and inviting...

It's difficult to fault this hotel as reasonable value-for-money bed and breakfast accommodation and its central location. We chose it for an overnight on a visit to the Stephen Joseph Theatre and have no complaints. Our only observation is that the hotel showed-up in a search for 'boutique hotels in Scarborough' and the on-line images suggest to us that it's...

Re-visited Scarborough to celebrate wedding anniverary. Staff very welcoming and food excellent. Not reflected in the room. Approach corridor much colder than the rest of the hotel. Room very cold and when we turned the bathroom radiator on revealed a major water leak. Complained to staff and were suplied with electric radiator with extension cable which we did not use...

hello, thank you for you kind review. I'm sorry to hear that your stay wasn't as you expected, unfortunately the lights you experienced are the traffic lights, which we have no control over. the rooms are cold and corridors are sometimes colder due to housekeeping turning down the heating when guest leave the rooms, and floors that are not in...
