Excellent size room with a beach theme. Proper coffee offered in room with a cafeteria which is a great touch after a long journey, only down side was the windows needed cleaning and clearly hadn’t been in a long while
Excellent room with sea view. Very bright and airy. When shown to our room we were provided with a flask of fresh milk and a bucket of ice. Comfortable bed and we’re made to feel welcome by all members of staff we encountered. Good breakfast choice included in price.
I won a hot drink and cake for two in a local competition. Being on my own, I asked if I could have one hot drink and cake now and one on a future date. Answer: no, it can't be split. Well in that case, instead of the cake, may I have a scone with cream and jam. Answer: no, it has to be the lemon drizzle cake. I'm writing this as I sit on my own with my one coffee and one slice of cake. Having recently moved to Minehead, hardly knowing anyone here, I would have appreciated more of a welcome.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone ! Very clean. Rooms are lovely and clean. Friendly staff. Excellent location ! And is also dog friendly This is my first time visiting minehead and would definitely come back here and would advise you to come here too !
Easy to find and lucky to get a space in the hotel carpark. Greeted and checked in by Matt who was friendly and helpful and didn't even bat an eyelid when we found out we'd accidentally booked the wrong year. He managed to get us a very similar room to the one we had booked which turned out even cheaper we were so lucky. Room was very clean and smelled fresh. Used the hotel restaurant for our evening meal. Food was lovely and well presented although the man who served us was not very friendly and quite miserable. Had a few little issues with the room but these were all dealt with by Matt who was happy to listen to our issues. Breakfast was lovely, with the added touch of being offered a croissant while we waited for our breakfast to be freshly cooked to order. We will definitely stay again…
I have Christmas and stayed at the Stones, The Duke of Wellington, and other nearby venues. This time we tried the Beach Hotel. Wonderful reception. Lovely Breakfast! I booked two rooms. One had only been re-opened for the first time since Christmas and fell slightly short. Our room was perfect. Full refund for the one room. No arguments, just an apologetic manager who was straight on to the issue! We will return. Location great. Breakfast great. Did not try drinks or other food thus unable to comment.
Minehead is my home town - I left 55 years ago! That said, every few years I have to go and get a "Minehead/Exmoor fix", and that meant a stay at the Beach. Our room was probably the best I have ever stayed in in the UK, overlooking the three things I love - the station, North Hill and the beach and harbour. Butlins was, thankfully, invisible! The breakfast and dinner was excellent and the whole place was spotless. What we really loved about it is it is owned by the YMCA and they attract apprentices to train. They are very eager to please and all of the staff were superb. It was a faultless stay and we will definitely be back. But I'm not telling the name of our room in case it's booked when we go again! (A word of warning - no lift.)
This was a great hotel. We had a lovely big room with a sofa and chairs. Amy was great and so helpful!! Great value for the money!! The room was clean and we had a big bed! Great location! Quiet despite being on the road.
Stayed on the 4th of June 2022 Wow where do I start. Every aspect of our stay was incredible, from staff first greeting and showing us to our room ( including asking us if we need anything) to our food was a 5star experience. At no point in our stay did we feel like it was a cheap hotel due to the food being out of this world ( cider battered cod and chips ) and the whole hotel was spotless. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Never would of realised some of the staff were apprentices as they were also very professional. When entering the room ( Holicote ) we were amazed at the size of the bed and space. Not a single crumb could be found. We had a lovely sea view encluding the View of the steam train. It was our first stay away with our 2 month old and worried what it might be like with her. But everything went perfectly. Thank you to all the staff for our amazing stay. The Holliers.…
Lovely accomodation great staff, good food, altogether a great place to stay. Spent one night on the way to cornwall to break the journey but would stay longer next time. Nice large room larger than most hotels
