Proprietors were very welcoming and full of useful information. The property was spotlessly clean with excellent adherance to measures to prevent the spread of Covid. Well appointed room with toiletries and fluffy towels. Lots of choice for breakfast which we made full use of - loved the homemade bread and preserves. Great location for the beach, restaurants, West Somerset railway and SouthWest Coastal path. Won't repeat other reviews but confirm all details are correct.

Our third stay in as many summers with hosts Andy and Helen at the Montrose. We keep coming back because we can't find any fault! Lovely people, lovely house, super breakfasts (try the kippers), prime location, ample parking...and always good value for money. This is how a B&B should be.

Our third visit to Montrose Guest House & we`re already looking forward to our next stay there. Andrew continues to provide the attentive and welcoming front of house at the ideally located & well appointed establishment. There`s plenty of local information available for guests upon request or in the hallway dispenser. Our double room overlooks the front of the house /driveway (OK for four standard sized cars). Quiet enough /relatively low rate of passing traffic (early July 2021). The room is well sized, clean, good facilities, drinks making (fresh milk) comfy bed, plenty of storage for clothing etc Choice of Tea, Coffee and /or juices to refresh morning thirsts accompany good diet choice. Freshly cooked (by Andrew), good sized (Full English) breakfast choices (including cereals choice) available (check the breakfast room chalk board) and served in pleasant front dining room. Andrew is adhering to the necessary safety table spacings, he offers a choice of sitting times to support correct amount of guests per sitting.

We stayed here for four nights. Lovely stay, beautiful room on the ground floor with our own little conservatory and outside space. Plenty of choice for breakfast and all cooked superbly. Would definitely stop here again

I’m not a b&b person, but this was an outstanding establishment. Beautiful clean rooms, a breakfast served in true tradition. Plate immaculate, full English picture postcard. Egyptian cotton towels, a professionally run Guest House.
