Should have smelled a rat when I was asked to pay on arrival. With the exception of the breakfast waitress who was lovely, staff seemed indifferent to my custom. Admittedly it was a Saturday night, but the bar was extremely busy and people were shouting outside and banging doors inside up 3.30 Sunday morning. I was glad to leave.

Stayed 4-nights. Bedroom superbly fitted and very comfortable. Bar noisy. Restaurant poorly serviced. Food ordered at the bar where there is little information regarding the indifferent menus. Poor area of Minehead, which itself is a dead seaside resort.

Lesson one ! Don't try and check in during a very busy football match... However... Once checked in very fast and efficient. I never really had much contact with any staff... the place is more set up as a bar and restaurant, but the room had an info folder that told me all I needed to know. The Room and...

This place was a complete surprise, such a modern and nice place. The bar had a great selection of beers and ciders and the bar staff were really helpful. The hotel looked to be a really good place to stay over and we will be back!

From the moment we saw the pizza oven fired up, we knew this was the place to eat. You won't be disappointed. First class friendly service from barman to a waitress working on her own, but did not let it show. We had stuffed olives and beer battered mushrooms for started. The mushrooms were larger than you normally get and...

We popped into Stones for a Sunday evening drink and meal. Despite being the last weekend of July, the bar was very quiet. When we ordered drinks and asked for menu's, we were told the most of the menu was unavailable, no grilled items, ni burgers, no ham, no new potatoes, which pretty left us with starters, pizza or sandwiches....
