A very typical English Country Farmhouse full of character. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and nothing was too much trouble, if you want a roaring log fire in the evening one will be made for you. The breakfast is as good as any you will get in 5 star hotel and is truly wholesome and filling. We stopped for five nights whilst I was recovering from illness and the peaceful surroundings were a wonderful tonic. Thank you both.

A last minute booking for one night at this excellent B&B. We were instructed to ignore the sat nav & follow the directions which were emailed to us. The farm is situated at the end of a very narrow lane, in a hidden valley with distant views to the sea. A pretty garden to sit in and drink our tea whilst watching the ducks, chickens and geese. The Oak bedroom had a large comfortable bed set in a room full of character with wonky walls and lovely old creaky floorboards. The breakfast order is taken the night before. There is a lot of choice. We had organic poached eggs and bacon, homemade bread, fruits and yoghurt. All beautifully cooked. The owners were very accommodating and welcomed our dog. Minehead is only 10 minutes drive away with a good dog friendly pub, 'The Old Ship Aground' - and some lovely walks too.

A really friendly welcome in an amazing location. The rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished and the roaring fire in the lounge were a treat. The only downside was the shower which needed updating. The hot tub under the stars was amazing and so was the breakfast.

My husband and I have just had the best time in this B&B. We were looking for somewhere that was completely separate from the hustle and bustle of London and boy did we get it. After a lovely welcome from Penny we were delighted with our room with the view of the farm and down into Minehead. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfy. It was so peaceful, we slept very well. We loved spending time in the main living area as it was the perfect place to get cosy after a day of walking on the hills. The breakfast in the morning was one of the best I have had and knowing where the produce has come from and how it has been reared just adds to the whole experience. We look forward to our next visit and hope to stay longer next time. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The position of the farm is idilic with wonderful views of nature all around. The accommodation however is quite poor by modern standards. Our stay did not start very well because even although there was four of us in the party they were only expecting two, (even although we had paid, in full at least two weeks before). No television in the rooms (just in the communial lounge area), a communial tea tray on the landing was on offer, not in the rooms, (obtaining provisions in the night was a bit tricky and could well have disturbed other guests). Tired en suite that was probably installed in the eighties that was in need of a deep clean due to black mould. Basin in the en suite was partially blocked, the water took a long times to drain. Tired bedroom cupboards and furniture, BUT the bed was lovely, huge and very comfortable. Breakfasts were lovely but ordered items were sometimes missing (baked beans missing on our last day). For the price of £99 per room per night the standard, in our opinion is not good enough. If you are a walker and just want a place to spend the night and have hearty breakfast, fine but if you are somebody who would like the standard of your room to be at least as good as you probably have at home, this B and B is probably not the place for you.

Thank you for your review. Our 18th Century farmhouse B&B is indeed in an idyllic location and has the original features one would expect. Sorry if there was a misunderstanding with how many where in your group. Regarding Tv 's in the bedrooms, we have never had TV's in the bedrooms as after consulting with a number of previous guests they were not required, and indeed would disturb other guests whilst in bedrooms. The beautiful guests sitting room with large Sky TV, also books and games, has an open original fireplace where many of our guests love to sit and relax and enjoy. The landing fridge is for the use of guests only. It has organic jugs of milk (no portioned UHT pots here) and large assortment of organic and /or local teas, coffees, hot choc etc. which is in the interests of our Green tourism ethos for sustainability. All 3 bedrooms have their own kettles and mugs - some guests simply take a few teabags into their rooms to use as they require. The large Walnut super king is very comfortable and very popular, and of course is cleaned after every occupancy, with the ensuite shower/ facility additionally having its silicone renewed regularly. If the sink was emptying slowly, we would have of course attended to this for you - neither our housekeeper or ourselves had been made aware there was problem either by yourself or previous guests. It has been checked and drains normally now. So happy you enjoyed our organic and local produce breakfasts, a lot of time and care is taken to ensure guests have a wonderful start to their day with the best produce, also advice with where to walk and possible places they may enjoy to visit. I do remember I left the baked beans one morning in the aga - oops! My memory is not always perfect. We offer very good value for money - and do say we are not a hotel but a real family traditional farmhouse B&B with relaxing atmosphere, great food and 18th century charm.
