Booked a room for August back in January. Cost of stay immediately charged to my credit card. Booking conditions were that the booking could be cancelled up until day before arrival. Due to coronavirus emailed to cancel but received no reply or refund. Chased up on alternative email address and still had no reply. Beware of the fact that your money will be taken immediately and there seems to be no method of getting it back! Very sharp practice.

Do not book student accommodation with Digs and Storthes, with the current corona virus situation it came to light how money hungry the company are than everyone thought. They do not care about students but only money, the staff are rude and no help, the rooms itself are a state. They leave the previous years mess for past students and make the students next year pay from their deposit. The accommodation is miles away from uni, buses that run do not turn up have of the time and you have to waste money on taxis. Overall this company do not deserve students, the Huddersfield SU wrote to them recently to change their situation and no make students pay the last term fees if the students are not staying in their rooms however they have ignored the request and gave a reply stating that they are not going to change their stance whereas student accommodations such as IQ, Hello student and Host student all have changed the contract allowing students who have left their accommodations to not pay the last term fees as their not using the services because of the pandemic. I strongly recommend that this accommodation is NOT used, for parents and students.…

I stayed here for a night after a wedding. The room was lovely and was sufficient. There was a kitchen on the flat floor to get glasses and a seating area available. The venue was lovely a really nice place for a wedding. Only concern was breakfast in the morning. We had added £5 extra on top of the room rate that came with continental for a cooked breakfast but were told we would have to to pay the extra 6.95. I paid it after trying to explain that we had already paid. The breakfast was lovely. But lacking n choice. Cheap drinks only 2.50 for a gin but to double was £5? Wasnt sure ofnthe pricing really. Definitely would stay again though great place

The evening started off well by being greeted with complimentary mulled wine and a group of people playing and singing Christmas song. Then we moved into the dining area which was well presented ready for the meal to be served. I has the tomato soup which was lovely, then the turkey dinner - the veg was raw the Yorkshire pudding was very dark (been in the oven too long), the turkey was inedible (I don’t think it had had long enough in the oven!!). Once the meal was done we then moved back into the first room where this had been set up with a DJ. A good end to the evening with dancing and good choices of music. It’s a shame the meal let it down as that was the reason why we were there.

The venue double booked our apartment, we were notified 3 days before the booking despite having it booked for 3 months. Priority was given to the other booking. Refusing to share the apartment we had booked with strangers we were offered alternative accommodation. It was too short notice to make alternative arrangements. Apartment was dated, there were not enough seats for all the group on sofa, and it did not represent the photos of the aparthotel on the website. Overall it looked like it needed a deep clean (possible mouse droppings in a kitchen cupboard) We were not able to park next to the apartment. We had been told this would be a newly refurbished apartment - it was not but having had so much hassle already we didn't argue the point. As the alternative apartment had single rooms we were given a small refund, however this has to be chased. All in all the stay caused a lot of admin on my part. A complaint has been submitted but has not been responded to. No real apology was ever given. Communication was poor and processes and systems were not in place to be able to manage bookings via booking.com and made directly with the venue.…
