Stayed for the weekend whilst we had a night at the Marsh Blues Club, convenient for the venue, the Hotel had very welcoming staff, clean, nice atmosphere, good quality breakfast. Will definately stay again ! Local to the M62, but abit of a drive to the town centre.

Warm smiles at reception and the bar and at breakfast. Even the cleaning lady looked happy ! Ask for a room facing the rear car park as the front road is busy. Breakfast is lovely. John Smiths (beer) is served a too cold for me. Overall very happy.

We were met with a friendly reception and guided to our room which looked fine until we found very evident signs of the toilet having been used which I've never experienced before in any hotel. Other than that, our two night stay was well up to expectations the room being clean and comfortable and a good breakfast included. As it...

Didn't stay at the hotel just went to a family wedding and a bit surprised that it took place in a separate building round the back which involved some walking outside, particularly as about 6 people needed walking sticks so they struggled a bit with that, but the service was lovely. My gripe though is the bar price of a...

Wow....what can we say. Briar Court is an amazing place. Isobel who dealt with our wedding from the start (which seemed so many many years ago) is an absolute credit to the hotel. She is extremely helpful and the communication was a breeze. She was always there at the end of the phone or email to answer any silly questions...

Everything about the hotel was average. There was nothing to complain about nor was there anything of particular merit. Location was fine for us as it is close to the motorway. It is OK for a short stay.

I liked the look of the place and from the start the staff were really nice and friendly. I stayed 2 nights. On my first night I got back to the room and there was no hot water. It was around 11pm. I don't mean 'not enough' hot water, there was none. My friend said the same about his room....
