Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A real find.next door to Le Shuttle. Literally a few minutes away and the owner told us about a short cut. Great if you have a dog as the grounds are endless. The owners are really helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely go back.

We chose this for our stay because of the location, only minutes from Le Shuttle. We couldn’t have made a better choice. The setting is lovely; so quiet and peaceful. The lovely garden was perfect for our little dog to have a good run around after the car journey. The room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bathroom had obviously been recently updated. Gordon met us and showed us to our room. He was very welcoming and gave us a recommendation for dinner (The Gatekeeper, which was excellent) and for a walk (Hythe - lovely). A good continental breakfast is brought to the room at a time which suits you. We will definitely use this again if we need a stopover near the Channel Tunnel.

We have not had the pleasure of staying here, but needed to drop in after our car broke down. The lovely staff were so accommodating, providing tea and hospitality whilst we waited for a break down truck. The lovely Jeanette even invited my parents, my hubby and I in to her lovely home to wait for our hire car, when our car was finally towed away. Such lovely friendly people whom we are eternally grateful to. I can recommend staying here as it’s such a beautifully quiet place with lovely, friendly helpful staff.

A warm welcome on arrival from the owners Dad, who showed us to our room in the grounds. Well equipped, and a nice area to sit out and enjoy drinks before dinner ( which we had at a nearby Inn.) The grounds are also wonderful and extremely peaceful considering you’re about a mile from Eurotunnel. Would thoroughly recommend.

We have stayed here a number of times now and I can’t stress enough how much of a wonderful place this is. In a tranquil setting close to the tunnel, the accommodation is quaint and charming, extremely clean and very reasonably priced. The continental breakfast is lovely and even has a snack included for the pooch. The attention to detail makes this a very welcoming stop over. Rob is an excellent host who always goes out of his way to make your time here perfect.

We stay here on our way to and from Scotland to Portugal. It is a really comfy dog friendly place where you can relax with the dog. Good fields to get the dog a good run about, breakfast is what you need and it's minutes from the entrance to Eurotunnel. Rob and his wife are super relaxed and great hosts.

I stayed here for a wedding, and my room was great! Rob gave us all the information we needed in advance and was extremely helpful. The room itself was clean, spacious and a lovely place to relax. Continental breakfast was served in the room, delicious and generous! We couldn't eat it all. Really lovely quiet location surrounded by nature, would 100% recommend.

Very lovely cottages set in beautiful surroundings. Continental breakfast delivered to your room before departure. We stayed here due to attending a wedding at Hayne House and it was a short taxi drive to the venue, we were able to check in and get the keys before travelling to the wedding. Very nice stay.

Fabulous place to stay! Owners very hospitable, friendly and helpful. Room 20 perfect for our stopover, comfy bed, fab shower, tea and coffee etc. Would definitely visit again and for a longer stay. Short drive into Hythe - very interesting town, enjoyed a stroll along the sea front then the military canal. Smashing curry at the Hope Inn.
