Without a doubt, this has to be the most relaxing place to stay if you are visiting this area. I travel here frequently and it is the only place we will use, even rearranging our visits if the Anchorage is full. I cannot praise the Anchorage highly enough. But don't take my word for it - come and enjoy Richard's... More

A friend and I stayed here late October for 3 nights, whilst Deer Stalking in the local area. Richard is a wonderful host. The B&B is spacious, warm and very comfortable. A drying room is handy for those venturing outdoors. The breakfasts are A1. We will be back in 2017!

My mother (progressive dementia) and I stayed at The Anchorage for 4 nights whilst visiting friends in the area. The Anchorage is a lovely old house, very clean, beautifully furnished and with rooms with spectacular views. Richard is just wonderful and nothing was too much trouble which was so very appreciated and we had a really wonderful time. The breakfast... More

Stayed her for 2 nights en route to Kintyre and would thoroughly recommend. A room overlooking Holy Loch and beyond, great views. The room itself (Gull room) was spotless, as was the rest of the house. We received a lovely welcome from Richard and found him to be a splendid host, together with being a good cook, the breakfast was... More

After three visits, it’s always a pleasure to drive into the splendid Anchorage's ample driveway at the start of another Highland holiday. The location is superb, looking out across the quiet of Holy Loch to the hills beyond; the rooms are very comfortable - we always try to reserve the first floor rooms (Heron and Gull) which command a splendid... Had an overnight in The Anchorage and I would thoroughly recommend it. The views are fantastic, the house is beautiful, the rooms are spotless, the breakfast delicious and Richard is charming. If you are looking for accommodation in this area I would definitely book The Anchorage.

We've stayed a whole week at the Anchorage and we've been very positively impressed by the very warm and welcoming service Richard provides. After our warm welcome we've immediately felt at home. The room was nice, clean and tidy. Same goes for the bathroom. Although we didn't have a room with a direct view on the holy loch we could... More

Charming B&B overlooking Holy Loch and an abandoned castle in the distance. Our tastefully decorated room with a lovely ensuite, overlooked the water. Very comfy beds. Scrumptious breakfast, great pubs a short walk away, guest parking, no credit cards. Excellent value.
