We made an unplanned visit to Dunoon whilst on a driving holiday on the west coast of Scotland. We had stayed at this guest house about five years ago and thought that we would have a night here as we were behind schedule. We had a very enjoyable previous visit and were surprised to find that the place was under... More

I stopped here for 7 weeks last year whilst attending the local diving school. I opted for the dinner, bed and breakfast option for a extra £7 a night. The owners James and Wendy are lovely and will accommodate your needs. I had a single en-suite room, which was very large indeed. The room was refreshed daily and was always... More

I stayed here for five weeks in June/July 2014 when doing my commercial diving course at the PDA. It was excellent value, great service and great selection of dinners would recommend for future diving students

James was a very pleasant and friendly host. However as he was away all day and Wendy had to be in Glasgow with her son, we probably saw them at less than their best. We made allowances for this but it seemed to us that it would have been better for James to have employed someone to cover for them... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights in October whilst my boyfriend did his commercial diving trial day. After reading reviews about James we were looking forward to meeting him but never did which was a shame. The lady in charge Wendy was very nice , but perhaps a little too nice for us anti social southerners. The... More

We stayed at Dhailling Lodge during the Cowal Highland Gathering and it did not disappoint. James has a delightful sense of humor and is a fantastic host. We had the room overlooking the Clyde which was spotless and most comfortable. The fluffy robes are a wonderful plus. Breakfast is great and having dinner there is an absolute delight! Because of... We spend 3 nights during the highland games at the guest house. A 10 minutes walk from the city center, situated at the seashore - only a road between house and sea. Not really bothering, not too much traffic. Nice view. The house is an older, charming house. Our room was well equipped, nice view. The bathroom a bit small.... More

This was a wonderful visit. James' sense of humor and knowlege of the area made for a great visit. The food was out of this world. This was one of our very favorites in a 16 day tour. After dinner we were able to stroll the waterfront and enjoy a peaceful evening, followed by drinks (we supplied) or coffee in... More

Thanks to this guest house, My Mother had a bed for two nights after the Glenmorag 'Hotel' couldn't make a phone call to get a lift fixed. At such short notice the service was fantastic, Breakfast was very nice and tasty, mom says she wished they had gone there instead for all of the holiday.
