Jon and Katia and their 3 children bought St Ives in July 2017 and completely refurbished and modernised it. It is now fresh, bright and modern with all amenities and creature comforts. All 7 bedrooms are en-suite and feature high-speed wifi (and a secure wired connection), Smart TV, comfortable bed, toiletries, soft towels, slippers and a hospitality tray with a good selection of teas, coffee and tea cakes. There is a guest lounge with stunning sea views, Smart TV , board games, books and toys. We have a well-stocked bar on site and offer delicious supper platters. St Ives is family-friendly and welcomes dogs with friendly owners.

Just back from a 2 nights stay at the St Ives in Dunoon. Fab from start to finish. Jon, the owner, couldn’t be more welcoming and accommodating if he tried, we were truly made to feel totally at home. Nothing is a bother. Even better, the place is spotlessly clean and decorated to a really high standard. The bedroom we had (the Jura) was lovely and the beds really comfy. And the communal areas are just as well kept. The lounge was lovely for relaxing in, with amazing views out over the Bay. Indeed the location is this little gem’s final great touch, being right on the sea front. We will definitely return.

Jon and Katia made our mini break a great experience. Whilst we didn't have a room with a view we did have a room with a bath, which was lovely ! Room was very clean, everything you could have wanted. Jon was only too pleased to provide you with anything else you needed. Breakfast was served in a lovely dining room over looking the bay and there was plenty to choose from. The advantage of staying 3 days meant you could try all of the special breakfast options. In addition to the specials, there was croissants, cereal, yoghurts and the biggest blackberries I've seen. You wouldn't go hungry. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend a visit.

My family and I stayed in August 2020 and we were extremely happy with this lovely guest house; Lovely family room, perfectly quiet, hot shower, really (really) comfy beds, strong and fast WiFi, nice whisky bar selection, excellent breakfast (the salmon is best we’ve had), lounge with selection of games and big TV, great location on the beach and near the high street. Overall excellent value and we highly recommend - we will be back.

Katia and Job are great hosts, you feel as if you are been treated like royalty, nothing is too much trouble for them to help you, their knowledge is extensive of the area. The whole experience was brilliant, lovely rooms with fantastic views and great breakfasts, I will be back.

I wish I could give a higher reviews. Jon and Katia went out of their way to make our overnight stay the best one we had on our whole trip. Our room was fantastic and the sea view was something else! The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast in the morning superb. I’d definitely be back and I’d 100% recommend St. Ives to anyone.
