Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited Kennacoil for an overnight stay in the 6 person glamping pod and have to it 100% exceeded our expectations, the pods are so clean, modern and are like brand new. Car can be parked right next to the pod which is so convenient. The toilet, shower and kitchen facilities are immaculate and smell lovely, the price was very reasonable, and it is surrounded by natural beauty and great walks. Dog friendly meant our pet could enjoy the time away with us. We really wished to had booked a second night now but we will definitely be back for a longer stay soon!

Wonderful stay in a fabulous location. The pods are really comfortable with mattresses, heaters and lights included. The utility is well equipped with a large fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster and both it and the shower facilities were spotless. The owners were great - very welcoming and gave great advice on local activities. My friend and I stayed with our kids and they had an absolute ball. There is a fire pit and an area of grass perfect for football. The location couldn't be better - the hill behind the pods are great for a scramble and loads of walks are available direct from the site, while Dunkeld is just a few minutes drive away. We'll definitely be back.

I booked the apartment (Craigvinean) for 2 nights for me and my daughter and we both loved it. It’s spotless, quiet and has views down the valley. The French doors from the sitting room lead out to a covered area where you can sit. There is everything you need in the kitchen/lounge area, comfy beds and a good sized bathroom as well. And thanks to the owners for the bottles of wine and the milk they left for us.

It’s a 5 minute drive to Dunkeld and around 20 minutes to Pitlochry so plenty of places to get supplies. You can walk to the Hermitage from Kennacoil and it’s a great base for exploring other places. Will hopefully get the chance to come back again. I’d recommend it xx

Familly of 5 with 2 dogs ,
we couldn’t recommend this place more than enough, quite speechless from the moment we walked in , you couldn’t ask for more. Owner very welcoming and helpful, the cleanliness of the cottage was to a very high standard , all the extras and more than you could ask for , back garden was excellent for the dogs to run around. Views unreal and peaceful, all local walks and town within just afew miles or a short walk away , wouldn’t change anything about it , will definitely be returning.

Just home from an extremely enjoyable stay in a very comfortable Glamping Pod at Kennacoil.
My son and I had a wonderful time. David & Gemma are kind and welcoming hosts. Our stay was made easy by the conveniences of the Pod, and Kitchen, shower etc being very nearby and well equipped.
Stunning setting with deer, owls and other wildlife making an appearance.
An amazing spot to enjoy supper (cooked on the fire bowl/bbq) and breakfast.
We had a very happy time. It's a very special place. All in all, we strongly recommend staying at Kennacoil!

I stayed at Kennacoil in Craiglaggan cottage from Friday till Sunday morning
Beautifully presented accommodation with everything spot on.

I recommend Kennacoil, I have stayed in both the Glamping pods and Craigvinean Cottage and this time Craiglaggan cottage and loved every minute of it.

The weather changed every fifteen minutes, didn't go up the hills for a walk this time due to that but hope to be back very soon and stay longer this time!

Pod was as expected, clean and 4 camping mattresses. Heater, light and usb sockets for charging phones. The scenery is beautiful and you feel a million miles from anywhere and owners on hand to help with any issues or to purchase wood/charcoal for fire pit. Showers and toilets immaculate. Would recommend staying here - short drive into Dunkeld.

We booked here for just one night to break the long journey up to the Highlands. The best decision was to book here and we only wish that we had longer. We received a warm welcome and found the camping pod to be clean and comfortable, with stunning views and excellent facilities for our needs!

We stayed in the Craigvinean cottage for the weekend. We had a lovely welcome from Gemma, who then showed us around the cottage. The cottage was cosy and spotlessly clean; everything that you could think of was there for us. The surroundings are beautiful and the view from the cottage is amazing. There's lots to do in the area including the wildlife centre and the Hermitage. Dunkeld is a very short drive or a longer walk (3 miles), for a stroll round the shops and there is also lovely walk by the grounds around the cathedral. We've already booked to come back in the summer and really enjoyed our stay.

The self-catering cottage was wonderful – very clean, comfy, and with beautiful views across the surrounding countryside. Lovely outside seating area. We walked from Dunkeld & Birnam train station (about an hour’s walk, through the beautiful Hermitage woodland). A perfect place to stay to enjoy the countryside and walks right on the doorstep.
