Second time I've stayed at this hostel. Lovely place with friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location for town centre, car park around the back. Clean, comfortable rooms. Bathrooms clean and spacious. Attached bar serving good beer, lovely big lounge for those who want to watch tv or chill. We stayed in range of accommodation: bunkrooms, double ensuite, double, and had no complaints. Large kitchen with all facilities needed and nice DIY breakfast. Cannot recommend this place highly enough for a weekend away when you want somewhere clean, warm and cheap to crash. Perfect for the NDAC :)

I can’t think about anything to complain about, very clean, good car park, great kitchen, good beds. Maybe a bit pricey, but all is top notch so worth it. Great bar also with selection of gin and some hand pull ales.

Our team had an amazing experience, in the cleanest hostel ever. We felt welcome and were entertained everyday by a lovely couple of hosts, who also run inhouse bar, full of chatty locals and impressive gin menu. You can relax in a beautiful lounge area, or engage in some activities run by local bodies, such as music evenings, or discussion groups. Big breakfast, lovely staff, and a lot of good memories! The history and architecture of the old part of the building was a cherry on the cake. Absolute winner!

Excellent weekend visit. Great location and the room was clean and comfortable. Excellent facilities, liked the self service breakfast and reasonable bar prices. Staff were very friendly. One wee issue is I would have liked a place to put my suitcase.

We stayed here by accident as our original hotel had double booked us. The original Hotel told us they had booked us into the Greenman but when we tried to book in they knew nothing about it !!!!! The gentleman ( the owner ) was very accommodating and helpful showed us the only double room he had left which was absolutely outstanding and spotless key card entry and if you don’t close it an alarm comes on mattress was spotless with a protective sheet over it tea and coffee on tap and the kitchen facilities were also great
