Stayed for three nights here. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Just ring the bell and they are there. The rooms are quaint but clean and functional. Some squeaky floor boards but that goes with the territory. Very short walk to town centre with plenty of eating houses. The breakfast room is pleasant with a fire to keep you warm....

We have stayed here often. AnNabel and Bob are the perfect hosts. The rooms are charming, clean and cosy. Breakfast is superb. We use our time here to browse the shops and visit the local hostalries. The journey to the bluff is amazing. A real must for visitors.

We've been at La Fosse for the 2nd time and were as happy as 2 years ago. Very nice breakfast, do not miss "fresh fruit with yoghurt". Due to the most central location right in the middle of Hay you should be aware of some traffic noise, however, the proximity to the shops is well worth it. Brecon is only...

Hay-on-Wye was our chosen sleep-over location to and from Ireland. A lifetime ago I've visited Hay-on-Wye as a stop in our Offa's Dyke Path route and it still is a lovely place to visit. Annabel was our host @La Fosse and it is always a great joy to see someone with such great passion for hospitality - it tends to...

La Fosse provided a perfect base for our two night stay in Hay-on Wye. The location is quiet yet very close to the town center, the room was spotless and the bed was large and comfortable, my "full cooked breakfast" set me up perfectly for the day. Annabel and Bob are great hosts and were an absolute pleasure to stay...

Annabel and Bob were the most helpful people we've come across. Annabel put the heating on to try and dry out our walking boots and stuffed them newspaper. She even did some washing and drying for us, and recommended a good place for evening meal. Really can't explain enough how helpful they are, nothing is any trouble. Such a shame...

Stayed at La Fosse for one night with a group of friends. You were made to feel welcome as soon as you were through the door. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast was more than enough. Would definitely recommend

We stayed at this lovely place three years ago and when we decided to return to the UK this year we wanted to factor in another stay here. As my wife is an author we were keen to visit during the Book fare. Unfortunately accommodation was all booked so we stayed out of town but made the early decision to...

Our hosts, Annabel and Bob, were very hospitable. We have stayed in this B&B before, and came back. Parking is tight, but they do have parking on premises for guests, which is very useful. Good breakfast. Good base to visit book stores.

We stayed in the B&B whilst walking Offa's Dyke, and over the two weeks walking, it was one of the best places we stayed. After 20 miles over the Black Mountains in near constant rain, we were met at La Fosse with a big smile, our wet things were taken charge of, our boots warmed on the fire, and ourselves...
