Enjoy glamping in beautiful, high quality traditional Bow Top Gypsy Caravan and French Roulotte on the picturesque River Wye. Located in a truly idyllic, quiet and picturesque location with beautiful views of the River Wye and surrounding countryside, the only sounds are horses grazing, swans by the river and of course the wonderful soothing sound of the River Wye itself. Our Bow Top Gypsy Caravan and French Roulotte are a 'home from home' and boutique in style - we aim for you to relax in true comfort. Both have a double bed and are fully equipped with utensils, cutlery, plates, bedding and high quality fixtures and fittings - all you'll need to bring is yourselves, food and wine. Sleep soundly in the peace and quiet on beds with real mattresses and duvets. The Bow Top Gypsy Caravan comfortably sleeps two in 1 double bed. It can also be moved to a location right next to the river if you prefer. The French Roulotte is stationary and has 1 double bed, it's slightly larger and can accommodate up to 1 child under 10. For 'al fresco' dining there's a covered outdoor dining area complete with table and chairs next to the French Roulotte. Enjoy Hay and the River Wye in true comfort and glamping style. Perfect for a romantic getaway or time with friends and family. We also offer wildlife camping tent pitches in the meadows, or on the River Wye. Facilities: Both the Bow Top Gypsy Caravan (shown in blue in the photographs), and the French Roulotte have a gas hob with complimentary gas provided, mains electricity and fridge. All bedding and utensils are provided. Ample free parking next to the accommodation. New, modern, clean hot water shower and toilet facilities are a few minutes walk from the Caravan and Roulotte Outside the caravans there's a barbeque and chiminia with complimentary wood and firelighters, and tables and chairs to accommodate up to 8, plus the new covered dining area located next to the Roulotte. Tent pitches can be set up in the meadow or on the Riverside, with access to toilets and hot and cold water. We're 5 minutes drive from the Hay festival, so you could enjoy it to the full in one of our glamping caravans, and pitch tents next to the River Wye.

Stayed for weekend with partner and couple friends and our 4 legged kids, the owners have got the layout spot on.
Owners have not tried to jam as many people in as possible, fields are Wild meadows with good sized camping areas cut into them. No one is over looked and areass are well spread out. Converted horse trailers into shower blocks, that are free, no hidden charges on arrival, owners were great and friendly, open fires on every pitch, . I also got to name a pitch.(Taff's pitch). This is a perfect site for people wanting to get away from the daily grind and want piece, quiet by the river. We'll defo be back.

Every now and then one encounters a great little campsite, the trouble with leaving a sparkling review is that others will then visit and enjoy its superb location and surprisingly good facilities. Tucked away from traffic noise, being lulled to sleep by the River Wye, very friendly staff, clearly defined camping areas and even advice on which pitch would suit me is not everyone's cup of tea. The people at Digeddi love horses and to my untutored eye breed and train them to a high standard. Of necessity there is little to no interaction with the well cared for and very happy animals on this farm, I respect that and the reasons why. Yet I did have the pleasure of witnessing a few minutes of a dressage session prior to getting on the river. Had I been camping with friends a log fire would have been a social must. There is far more to Digeddi. Am secretly hoping that this review will deter others from staying at this campsite, sadly for me my love of the truth is stronger than trying to keep it all to myself.

We loved camping at Digeddi, the pitch was flat and comfortably large enough for our 5m bell tent plus a gazebo. The pitches are nicely laid out with the grass left longer in between to mark them out. We were right next to the river in an area where it opens up and slows right down so it’s perfect for canoeing or paddle boarding and deep enough to swim in. We had been a little worried there might be bugs so close to the water but had no problem at all with bitey things, perhaps thanks to the numerous bats that spent the evening swooping overhead. We could hear the distinctive calls of tawny owls as well as the screech of a barn owl that one evening we managed to glimpse swooping over the fields hunting. The river is teeming with little fish that will nibble on your toes if you stay still for too long and kingfishers were easy to spot; one evening I saw a dipper bird perched on a rock.
Each pitch has a campfire marked out with rocks, and you can buy firewood, lighters and kindling each evening without having to leave your pitch. Suezi was a lovely host, very welcoming, who showed us to our pitch when we arrived. She gave good advice on where to go food shopping, and places to visit.
The main toilets and showers were always clean with warm running water and electric lighting, the path to these was clearly marked and lit at night. There were also port-a-loos a little closer than the main toilets which were also always kept clean with plenty of loo roll.
Overall, Digeddi exceeded our expectations and we would definitely visit again.

I booked a weekend on impulse seeing as the weather was gonna be good and Ive always wanted to swim in the Wye. I stayed in the blue bowtop van. Having never camped/glamped before and not having a car or a clue, I rolled up in paradise rather ill equipped :D. But Suzie was great answering my ques beforehand and looking after me so friendly. The caravan is so sweet and cozy. It has all the pots, pans, kettle, cutlery, towels and cleaning stuff you need. The firepit and barbeque were fab. And the bestest thing for me is a practically private beach to yourself (just make a path through the weeds from the field by van). The river there is divine! Clean and clear with a lazy current absolutely perfect for a swim. You can walk out most of the way..but some deeper bıts to swım properly and really safe. The whole site was spotless, no rubbish around. Drinking water by the showers (if you are lucky the donkey brays at you whıle fıllıng your bottle)The horses, donkeys, goat and dogs were beautiful to see. Its a bit of a walk from the bowtop to the loo/shower but wow! What a shower....better than most hotels.
Note that you need a camping stove for this van.
The only thing I could possibly fault is that there are some ornaments in the van which are there for a nice touch but with space at a premıum i found these a pain. But thats a minor thing of course...
Anyhoo I really want to return thank you

This is our second visit to Digeddi and we'll definitely be returning next summer. Sue-zi and family and Dan do a fantastic job of looking after the site and the guests. We were given our favourite pitch on request right by the river, great to launch our canoes, paddle boards and kayaks. So peaceful and beautiful. The perfect place to unwind and get away from it all. Nothing nicer than messing about on the river during the day and chatting round the campfire at night. When Sue-zi discovered we love horses she gave us a dressage demonstration with her daughter on their gorgeous horses. If you love animals and nature you won't be disappointed. Thanks all. See you next year!

We were looking for a campsite by a river and I'm not sure we could have picked a better spot. Out pitch was right by the river which the children spent many hours in paddling, splashing and catching fish. The pitch we had was extremely spacious with a fire place in the middle. The fire wood man came around every evening with bags of logs to purchase.

The host Sue-zi was brilliant and made us feel extremely welcome. This is a fabulous campsite with stunning views which ever way you look. We can't wait to return.

Beautiful campsite right on the bank of the river Wye. We had our own field for our group of friends with direct access to the river. There are lovely hot showers and toilets available but at the camping field it was just a field of grass. No electricity, no lights - just proper camping.
We absolutely loved it and spent most of the weekend in the river swimming, canoeing, paddling. There was plenty of space in the field for the kids to run wild.

If you want a caravan park with a club house and heated pool this is not for you. If you want to toast marshmallows on a campfire and have a peaceful night’s sleep after playing all day then I would 100% recommend this campsite.

I have stayed at Digeddi and it was ok but nothing special. The attitude of the staff was off, they are very unfriendly and it felt like they wanted our money but didn't actually want the inconvenience of staying there. This time I had to cancel my booking and this is when they show their true colours. after 10 days of waiting I had to chase the refund, then I was told they were deducting £20 for "fee's" [sic] which was more than their stated admin fee. I asked why they were doing this, no reply, so I chased it. I was told (and I quote) "Sorry I have a campsite to run and been extremely busy". (They have about 20 pitches, basic facilities and no shop, cafe, they dont even let you leave your rubbish). I asked for it to be refunded to my card, and apologised for disturbing them by unreasonably chasing a refund and questioning why they had deducted an arbitrary amount. the reply was astonishing. "Don’t want bad feeling and bad mouthing Thank You, I deal with idiots all day long so its water of a ducks back !!!! As I have already refunded your booking .. I cannot do it again so please give me your details and I will gladly give you your £6.50, its cost me that in time dealing with you ,I have bigger and better projects than this thanks"
Since then I've been subjected to more childish abuse. All because I had to ask for my money to be returned.
Obviously I won't be back.

The campsite is on a stud farm which is located right next to the river Wye, stunning 360 views of black mountains and river. Facilities are great but basic, lovely hot showers which were clean. Lovely host Suzi who is about on the farm most the time. Magical place for adults and especially kids

Myself and my dog had a lovely stay at the camp site. Clean facilities in a beautiful location just a stroll from the river.

Sue-zi was happy to help when needed, also happy for us to stay a bit longer on the last day to enjoy the area.

Would definitely recommend for a chilled camp experience.
