Enjoy glamping in beautiful, high quality traditional Bow Top Gypsy Caravan and French Roulotte on the picturesque River Wye. Located in a truly idyllic, quiet and picturesque location with beautiful views of the River Wye and surrounding countryside, the only sounds are horses grazing, swans by the river and of course the wonderful soothing sound of the River Wye itself. Our Bow Top Gypsy Caravan and French Roulotte are a 'home from home' and boutique in style - we aim for you to relax in true comfort. Both have a double bed and are fully equipped with utensils, cutlery, plates, bedding and high quality fixtures and fittings - all you'll need to bring is yourselves, food and wine. Sleep soundly in the peace and quiet on beds with real mattresses and duvets. The Bow Top Gypsy Caravan comfortably sleeps two in 1 double bed. It can also be moved to a location right next to the river if you prefer. The French Roulotte is stationary and has 1 double bed, it's slightly larger and can accommodate up to 1 child under 10. For 'al fresco' dining there's a covered outdoor dining area complete with table and chairs next to the French Roulotte. Enjoy Hay and the River Wye in true comfort and glamping style. Perfect for a romantic getaway or time with friends and family. We also offer wildlife camping tent pitches in the meadows, or on the River Wye. Facilities: Both the Bow Top Gypsy Caravan (shown in blue in the photographs), and the French Roulotte have a gas hob with complimentary gas provided, mains electricity and fridge. All bedding and utensils are provided. Ample free parking next to the accommodation. New, modern, clean hot water shower and toilet facilities are a few minutes walk from the Caravan and Roulotte Outside the caravans there's a barbeque and chiminia with complimentary wood and firelighters, and tables and chairs to accommodate up to 8, plus the new covered dining area located next to the Roulotte. Tent pitches can be set up in the meadow or on the Riverside, with access to toilets and hot and cold water. We're 5 minutes drive from the Hay festival, so you could enjoy it to the full in one of our glamping caravans, and pitch tents next to the River Wye.

I love this campsite!! It is right on the river (it is very fun to watch the people using canoe’s capsize on the rapids). It has stunning views of the valley and the pitches are very private. The hosts are also very kind and welcoming and we will definitely be coming back

We loved camping at Digeddi, the pitch was flat and comfortably large enough for our 5m bell tent plus a gazebo. The pitches are nicely laid out with the grass left longer in between to mark them out. We were right next to the river in an area where it opens up and slows right down so it’s perfect for canoeing or paddle boarding and deep enough to swim in. We had been a little worried there might be bugs so close to the water but had no problem at all with bitey things, perhaps thanks to the numerous bats that spent the evening swooping overhead. We could hear the distinctive calls of tawny owls as well as the screech of a barn owl that one evening we managed to glimpse swooping over the fields hunting. The river is teeming with little fish that will nibble on your toes if you stay still for too long and kingfishers were easy to spot; one evening I saw a dipper bird perched on a rock. Each pitch has a campfire marked out with rocks, and you can buy firewood, lighters and kindling each evening without having to leave your pitch. Suezi was a lovely host, very welcoming, who showed us to our pitch when we arrived. She gave good advice on where to go food shopping, and places to visit. The main toilets and showers were always clean with warm running water and electric lighting, the path to these was clearly marked and lit at night. There were also port-a-loos a little closer than the main toilets which were also always kept clean with plenty of loo roll. Overall, Digeddi exceeded our expectations and we would definitely visit again.

We are currently staying here, our first trip away in our camper. After reading the replies from the owner I wish I could think of something negative to say as her responses are fantastic reading 🤛 However, we had a great first day messing about on the river (2 minutes walk from where we are parked on the nicely cut grass) lit our own fire pit with the logs supplied by two fantastically friendly young lads. Got up this morning at about 7:45 had a piping hot shower and a refreshing poo in the spotless toilets. Had breakfast and then spent the day paddle boarding and canoeing in the river. Great place to stay, great people, highly recommended. Simon

We recently stayed at the stunning Digeddi and had the best time ever, our dog Skye did not want to return home I’ve never seen her so happy - playing outdoors and going up and down to the river all day and relaxing by the fire at night! Sue-zi the owner was extremely helpful and lovely, and accommodated all of our requests regarding being on the river front and freezing ice packs for us etc. she popped by frequently to ask how we were but was never intrusive and was on hand on reception at all times. She gave us a beautiful pitch with access to the river which was big enough to set up several tents on. This is what is amazing about this site - rather than each pitch being for one tent there are many mown areas amongst the beautiful wildflower meadow and Sue-zi will find the perfect one for your group, big or small, in the location you want either nearer the river or nearer the facilities. This gives not only the ability to be all together, but also privacy and the feeling you are away from it all with just your group and a lovely firepit to gather round at night. Wood is offered each day for a reasonable price given the size of the net, and the site itself is so well maintained with mown paths and pitches without ever feeling that you’re not totally in nature. The views are to die for of the black mountains on one side and the river on the other and there is so much wildlife especially for bird watchers - we were perfectly content to sit at our beautiful camp listening to the river and watching the red kites and heron amongst others through the binoculars, totally unwinding. It was the most magical break, and we will definitely be returning asap. Thank you so much Sue-zi and family. Lots of love Lou. Sarah and Skye.

Room Tip: If you’re nearer the river, it gets colder at night so take something to wrap up in even if it’s...

First visit to Digeddi but won't be the last. There is a real charm to this place - the location is second to none but also the whole experience is simply wonderful. Suezi and family were fantastic hosts and couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. For a back to nature camping experience particularly for those that love horses and animals in general - this place is a must visit. We felt the facilities were spot on for the type of camping we were both looking for and expecting. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

Starting with the good. Lovely spot and a couple of nice showers made out of horse boxes. After that, it’s hard to find the positives. The welcome was approaching frosty, not the usual warm welsh welcome. Further communications verged on rude. Nowhere to put any recycling or rubbish, no hot water to wash up and a few ugly portaloos dotted around rather than a more thoughtful attempt to provide proper facilities in keeping with the environment. The overall impression was of a lack of care for the camping experience.

Suze runs things here and is super friendly. If you want a get-away-from-it-all, this is the place! Really Convenient for river access onto the Wye and very close to Hay with its pubs and eateries! Make sure you keep your eyes open for the turn off as we missed first time around!

This is our second visit to Digeddi and we'll definitely be returning next summer. Sue-zi and family and Dan do a fantastic job of looking after the site and the guests. We were given our favourite pitch on request right by the river, great to launch our canoes, paddle boards and kayaks. So peaceful and beautiful. The perfect place to unwind and get away from it all. Nothing nicer than messing about on the river during the day and chatting round the campfire at night. When Sue-zi discovered we love horses she gave us a dressage demonstration with her daughter on their gorgeous horses. If you love animals and nature you won't be disappointed. Thanks all. See you next year!

My bestie and I came here for 3 nights and didn't want to leave! The pitches are all fantastic, huge and very spaced out. We had a fantastic one right near the river! Every pitch has a camp fire area which is a great touch and whilst we brought our own wood, they sell logs by coming pitch to pitch each night. There's a hot shower that's fab, made out of a horse trailer. Mains toilets and portaloos all fine. We brought a dog and he loved paddling in the river, they don't charge extra either which was a lovely surprise. Super quiet and chilled! Perfect for those wanting to truly escape and do proper camping 🏕 will definitely be back!
