First I'll make it clear that I have not stayed the night ( I looked in all the rooms when I went with a friend who was organising a group visit to Hay). But this is a place I visit regularly as a local and I love it! It's lovely and warm when you go in, the staff are very...

We booked an Executive double room for two nights for £240 which would have been perfectly acceptable in a properly recently refurbished hotel. But Baskerville, for all it's charm, is not that. Our fourposter had nasty carpeted steps leading up to the bed - quite bizarre. Room a nasty combination of 70s with odd 90s furnishing and a wipe clean...

I wanted a cheap place to stay in South Wales. This building fitted the bill. I got a budget room, that was clean and tidy, if a little dated. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked ok, the breakfast was tasty, what more could you want? I used the swimming pool, & Sauna. Sauna had been off, and took a...

We stayed for a wedding. Bizarre place but an experience worth trying, sunken bath in the middle of the room, huge gold taps everything massive. Quite clean, but a bit of dust here and there. Few bulbs were out in my room. Go for a room on the first floor! Lovely grounds. Bit slow on the food delivery for wedding...

Although I didn't stay in the hotel, others were pleased with the accommodation. I camped . I found the staff exceptionally friendly ( genuinely. No obsequious) helpfull & accommodating. As for camping, the field was clean plenty of waste bins, level, grass was uncut & wet due to morning due. This would not have been worth mentioning had the grass...

Hi all I was at this hotel on the 8-9 September. The rooms were quite elaborate. High ceilings original fittings. Interesting building, My room was supposed to be a single, but when I reached my room. I had a double plus an en suite single room. Which I found strange. The bathroom was quite large to. All in all I...

We visited this hotel for lunch on a Saturday. They were very accommodating, as we arrived just as they were about to stop serving food, and there were 7 of us! The food was excellent, and the service very good. It wasn't very busy, just a few locals, and the kids were able to play hide and seek in the...
