Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a lovely friendly site , so quite and peaceful but within reach of all the beautiful Peak District sites . Very modern and clean toilet blocks of a very high standard . My daughter and I stayed in a camping pod for three nights and loved it , really warm and cozy and considering we had two frost s ! Would definitely recommend and will be back . Thank you Amie and Ian Edwards

Excellent campsite, great views, short walk to Buxton. Friendly staff + Dachshund, clean and modern toilets. Hardstanding with electric pitch very reasonably priced. Lots of statics which is always a good sign. Highly recommended.

The staff at Lime Tree Park were very helpful prior to, and during the visit of our large family group. We had 4 caravans and all were immaculately clean and were very well equipped. Everything we needed for our stay. A perfect location for a large family gathering. We've already booked for next year! Very well situated with easy access to Buxton Town centre. Very friendly staff.

The caravan was exceptionally clean on arrival. It was like new and smelt fresh. The bedding was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful. Ideally located for touring the Peak District.

Stayed at Ashwood House on Lime Tree holiday park, was great. It was spotless, clearly newly renovated & well equipped, great walks near by and quick and easy to walk to Buxton for dinner (loads of choice). Quiet site, which was nice - kids played football - shop had everything we needed essential wise, staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend for location and property/ price, will be back!

Customer service wasn’t great. We decided to make some barbecue for dinner. So we started to get ready our grill and put some coals. Obviously there was a fire until coals burned and meat is ready to put on grill. Camping owner and his wife appeared and started to shout at us - it’s not allowed to make fire from wood. They didn’t even ask do we use wood at all? If we not gonna listen to him we will be fined about £500. We could say a word they drove that quick. So we left without warm dinner that night. However we went back to the owner and wanted explanations why it’s not allowed bbq? He said he smelled wood without looking. He wasn’t very polite and wanted to run away from us as soon as. He wasn’t say sorry or anything just ran away. Second thing we wasn’t happy for locked toilets and showers at night time. It made us to think it’s not very safe place so we locked our cars and tents at night time. We was dissatisfied and we will not go back again there and we will not recommend this camping to anyone. Just need to improve attitude . We was there to enjoy camping but so far enjoyed only friends company.

Room Tip: Grass pitch without electricity was like a hill hard to find a spot where to put a tent

This is a lovely place. We got a pitch on one of the steps and it was perfect for us. Well sheltered but also plenty of sunshine. The park was great for our kids and we will go back! Also, there is a new facilities block being built which will make this place even better! Being close to the centre of Buxton is also an added bonus.

We have just returned from a family trip, myself, my husband and our 2 children brought our tent and my in laws brought their caravan. When we arrived it was apparent not everyone had electricity my in laws included. Not a thing was mentioned by any of the staff. When we rang up to question why there was no electricity we were told they were working on it and it should be back on soon. Luckily our tent pitch had electricity so we were able to cook for everyone. We later found a warden and asked what was going on and he advised that western power would be there between 8-9am the next day. So no electricity whatsoever for my in-laws, one of whom requires a machine to help him breathe during the night as he suffers with sleep apnea. When we woke up in the morning, we noticed the showers were closed, then 30 mins later the pot washing and toilets closed. No signs to advise why only to use the facilities at the other side of the park and still no contact from the park staff. The other facilities were down a very steep hill and quite a walk, not at all ideal with children. The facilities stayed closed until around 4pm. Then within a few hours our electricity went off (again no contact from the park staff, we were constantly chasing for information), All of our food in the electric cooler started to stink, it was pouring rain and my girls were freezing cold with no heater. I rang up again around 5pm and asked what was going on, I was told there was a generator arriving within the hour. 7:30pm was the time the electricity came back on! I have tried to contact the owner numerous times to address my complaint with no success, the wardens don’t want to know. I understand that unfortunately these things happen but a generator should of been organised sooner and information should of been passed on by the wardens at there earliest convenience, not paying customers constantly chasing information! To say I’m disappointed is an understatement, especially since the site itself is absolutely beautiful! Also I would like to add we spoke to a couple who have their caravan pitched there all season and they advised this sort of thing has been happening a lot in the last few weeks!

A last minute booking for us. I Rang the site directly to see if they had 2 pitches available and they did, close to the entrance. Hard standing with hook up, close to all the facilities. Yes there was some road noise but it wasn't bad at all. A lovely immaculate site, will definitely be back and aim to get a pitch up on the main tourer section. Awesome views and just 10 minutes walk from Buxton.
