Warm welcome from Alison. She had made sure before my visit if I had the directions and whether I had any dietary requirements. Beautiful room and bathroom in a very quiet location. Every thought and detail was given. A huge attention to detail - eg a welcome card, personalised breakfast request sheet and the best stocked coffee/tea/biscuit station I have seen. Breakfast was amazing and can recommend the eggs and bacon. Highly recommend this lovely b&b.

Alison is a top host with a real eye for detail, with a friendly, caring and unobtrusive professional service. The room was to an excellent standard, with some lovely touches. It's also an ideal location for Buxton Town centre (less than a mile away) whilst being in a quiet and pleasant area. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely 4 night stay at Foxlow coach house. Alison was an amazing host. Due to Covid restrictions we were the only guests which made it a great personal experience. Great location, lovely breakfast, lovely room and guest lounge to use. Alison was hugely accommodating. Thoroughly recommend this place for all.

This was simply one of the best B&Bs that I've stayed in. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well furnished. Some people may require a TV in the room, but the lack of one was not a problem, especially as there was one in the lovel, comfortable sitting room and communal area. The breakfast was excellent and the hostess, Alison, was friendly, helpful and efficient.

This B and B is immaculate in every way together with a most pleasant hostess who really cares for her guests. The rooms are tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable beds. The bathrooms clean and modern. Small items such a bowl of cherries in the room gave out the care which was taken to welcome guests. A hamper held tea and coffeemaking ingredients together with a tea towel so no wondering how to refresh your used cup. There was a very comfortable and homely guest lounge with a TV. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, We have no doubts in recommending this lovely house and its equally jolly, helpful hostess. It was a pleasure to ask Alison to join us in a champagne to celebrate New Year.

A quiet spot for a fabulous B&B. Room was spotless. Room and Lounge nicely decorated keeping with some historical architectural touches. The breakfast both hot and cold was fresh and freshly made. Must be able to do stairs. Close to good restaurants and pubs. Travelling by car to Buxton has ant beautiful Vistas.

We stayed at the Foxlow on Easter bank holiday weekend. Due to my partners work commitments, we could only stay 2 nights but Alison was a truly fantastic host. It is fair to say we were both completely blown away by the lengths she had gone to, to make us feel welcomed having arrived very late at night after a long journey . The tips and routes she gave us were lifesaving on the particularly snowy bank holiday weekend and despite the weather with Alison’s recommendations we had an amazing time trekking the Peak District. As well as her hospitality, the ultra comfy beds which helped us sleep within seconds, one of the best things about staying with Alison, was also her amazing cooked breakfasts in the morning. The little thoughts she puts in to make your stay really memorable. From the temperature control in the rooms, the preparation of breakfast, little handmade cards to welcome your visit and the guest guides of places to visits. We booked last minute as another B&B let us down due to weather damage. We would really recommend a stay at the Foxlow. Thankyou so much Alison! From Krish and Keval…

Thank you Krishna for taking the time to write this lovely review. I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay. I can't take credit for the hand made cards though - Caroline Small, a local photographer, is responsible for those!

We stayed here for two nights. A lovely, friendly B&B that is immaculate. Just about the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Breakfast was superb and our host, Alison, made us feel very much at home. She is also very knowledgeable about the local area which was a big help. The bed was enormous and incredibly comfortable and we liked the selection of teas and coffee that had been provided in our room (including fresh milk, which was so much nicer than the UHT cartons that you get in a lot of places). We loved being in the Peak District and want to go back and see more at some point in the future. Buxton is a good base and we will definitely be booking with Alison again.
