This luxurious, friendly Bed & Breakfast in Miller's Dale overlooks the River Wye and is the perfect location for exploring the Peak District. Close to charming Litton, the Cathedral of the Peaks in Tideswell and Bakewell, one of Derbyshire's most picturesque and historic towns, Angler's Cottage is right in the heart of the Peaks. You will wake up in an extraordinarily comfortable bed made immaculately with luxurious bedding and come down to a delicious breakfast tailored to your requirements and cooked by Nicky, a Cordon Bleu chef. Relax and enjoy some rest by the log burning stove or hire a bike and make your way along the Monsal trail just a couple of miles to experience the breathtaking view from Monsal Head. Perfectly situated for walkers and climbers, and with an in-house Derbyshire expert, Bernard, the B&B also makes an ideal base for those wanting to learn more of the area's history, from Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall to the beautiful Hope Valley and the caves of Castleton.

Nicky & B are a very accomodating and warm hosts. The B&B is a very cute cottage with a luxury feel. Its gardens next to the river are relaxing and quaint. Nicky's breakfast is very tasty and our hosts could not do enough for us, always making us feel comfortable. A good, peaceful night's sleep. I couldn't fault our stay, would definitely recommend. Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband as a ‘get away from it all’ break to do some walking and photography in the Peak District, and it was just perfect as a base for doing this. Our room had everything we needed including a wonderfully comfortable super king size bed. There was everything you could possibly want for breakfast, although we opted for the full English each morning to set us up for the day ahead. Nicky and B were great hosts and it was lovely to sit at the breakfast table and chat with fellow guests before setting out each day. The Monsal trail is literally across the road and it’s a lovely walk along the disused railway line to the pretty town of Bakewell. Other scenic locations in the Peak District are an easy drive away and four days wasn’t really enough to explore the whole area so would definitely return for another stay and recommend this place to others.

Me, my wife a two friends have just spent a wonderful night here. The bedrooms are beautiful and tastefully decorated as is the whole house. Nicky and her husband are first hosts too. The area is very peaceful and quiet and a good nights sleep is guaranteed with the lovely king size bed, down quilts & extra large pillows. The breakfast cereals and various fruits and yoghurts are great starters to a fresh to order cooked breakfast served with fresh orange juice, coffee/ tea and toast too. (Need another rest now) The garden is well maintained and is at the side of the river with lovely seating too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.
