We stayed at this premier mid -August for a few days. We chose this hotel, having intended to cycle to Buxton, and Premier allow bikes to be kept securely in the bedrooms.
We were impressed by the anti-Covid precautions & attention paid to hygiene.
The breakfasts represented good value & the cooked food was always hot & tasty.
Staff were always welcoming & helpful - Emma comes to mind.
We will continue to use Premier Inns on our travels.

We stayed here with friends on Friday evening to see a show at Buxton Opera House. Hotel was about 20 mins walk to centre but really easy to get a taxi into town centre and cost less than £4. Rooms spacious and comfy. Hotel was very clean and modern. All staff we met were great, really friendly and helpful. Had breakfast in the morning and it was really good. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

1 night break to take in what Buxton had to offer
Check in was fast and efficient and the person checking us in was very helpful and friendly nothing was to much trouble.
The room was modern and comfortable overlooking the main road but you could not hear any road noise.
The breakfast was well worth the money and everything was cooked to perfection and was piping hot, the staff were very friendly and attentive.
Would visit if in the area again

Good Covid measures in operation. Reception is small so difficult to distance. No bar or restaurant but we were told this when booking. Stayed 3 nights, room is not serviced until you leave so requests for clean linen , tea , coffee or your Rubbish removed has to go via reception and left outside room, so not very convenient. Room was hot and windows are sealed but this does keep the noise at bay from the very busy petrol station that it overlooks. A blind or net curtains would mean that you wouldn’t have to keep your curtains closed at all times due to being very exposed.

Bedroom was very clean but would recommend taking toilet paper unless you want to be wiping your ass with your hands. Remember your masks otherwise silly sue will have a go at you and you will have to put it on and find it hard to breathe(being exempt) The bed is like a rock and the pillows were like the toilet paper (nothing there) The air con was the best thing about the room so we could turn up and down the temp. If you need food I wouldn’t bother using the hotels because they never have any bookings free even though the restaurant was empty.

We are regular users of the chain, all round the country. If they had a loyalty card we would have a gold card. This is the first time I have been really disappointed. The staff, on the whole, were friendly and helpful but had to constantly apologise. The room was large and the bathroom slightly larger than in many other hotels but the room was cold when we arrived and the heating was extremely noisy when we switched it on.
The restaurant in a Vines version that does offer an evening meal. We tried the chicken tandoori bun and filet was delicious but even at 7pm they had run out of chips, apology, so offered sweet potato chips which arrived dried out and quite burnt, yet another apology.
The room eventually managed to get to 20C but we had to switch off the heating as we could not sleep through the racket. After a lot of travelling that day, we too tired to ask to change rooms. Awoke to a very, very cold room. Hot Breakfast was hardly gourmet. At 0800 Fried eggs, dried out, run out of croissant. Bagels were a good find at this point until we found they had no cream cheese. A good job the coffee machine was good. We are used to excellent service and rooms from Premier Inn so the explanation from reception that we needed to understand the heating was based on an air conditioning system and we should expect noise, when we politely suggested they check out that room, was the last straw !

Response from WhitbreadHotels, Guest Relations at Premier Inn Buxton hotel
Responded 20 Jan 2020
Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. We're so sorry to hear that you arrived to your room being so cold and the heating was so noisy when you had to warm the room up meaning you had to turn this off and the room was cold again when you woke up in the morning and we can understand how frustrating this must have been. We can assure you that we will be passing on your feedback to the hotel management team to make sure this is looked into and if there are any issues with the heating that this is repaired to make sure it doesn't happen again in the future. We're also sorry to hear that you had issues with the restaurant for both your evening meals and the breakfast with the items being overcooked and not to the quality you would expect. We will also be passing on your feedback to the restaurant management team to make sure they are serving meals to the quality our guests expect going forward. Please accept our sincere apologies again for any inconvenience that has been caused and we do hope that you can give us another chance in the future. Kind regards, James

My fiancé and I stayed here for a short break away at the end of September. We were mainly looking for a comfy bed and a hot shower but we got way more then that! The staff are unbelievably friendly, so so helpful and went above and beyond (even going out in the rain to look for an avacado for my breakfast), they answered any questions we had about bus routes, taxis etc and helped with the A/C in the room. It really makes a difference to your stay if the staff are friendly!

The room and hotel itself was in great condition, it's very modern and tidy with a nice restaurant/ bar area. Working and fast lift and quiet closing doors (we didn't hear anyone else go into their rooms). The room was a large size with a clean bathroom, the shower was really powerful and simple to use. The bed itself was slightly hard for me but my fiancé said it was perfect for him. The room has blackout curtains and there are double glazing windows which meant there was 0 noise from outside! This made a huge difference if we wanted to sleep in.

We booked for breakfast for one morning and ended up booking again because it was perfect. There is an excellent choice of cooked food and everything you need for a full english. A good cereal selection and plenty of pastries, toast, fruits and yogurts! Again the staff members were on hand if there was anything additional we may have needed and I really do appreciate them going out to find specific food for me!

Overall and excellent stay, we will be back and I wish I could give them more then 5 stars!

I wanted a short break in somewhere within walking distance of the centre of Buxton and with off road parking, where I knew I would have a comfortable bed and it would be immaculately clean, The price for Saturday night was higher than is often the case at Premier Inn. When I arrived I discovered that the cost of Sunday night was lower, so booked an extra night.. Bear in mind that while it is an easy stroll down into Buxton centre, the return walk is up hill, and the first section has a steep incline.

From checking in online to arriving, easy and stress free. Parking free rooms spotless, bathroom equipped with nice soft towels also spotless. staff very accommodating. Take advantage of the breakfast offer something there for everyone’s diet requirements. Next door to Esso garage with a Tesco shop attached, however still quiet not intrusive.
