I have stayed in this hotel for one night while on a business trip. I had a lake view room which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is situated behind the shopping park so there was some noise during the evening. The room itself was ok, there was a desk with comfy chair for work and also an arm chair...

I booked this hotel online through the IHG website approx. 4 weeks in advance of my stay. I booked 2 rooms with two double beds in each room and 4 adults per room, so if you do the math, that equates to 8 adults in total across all 2 rooms. The reservation cost was confirmed at £86 per room online...

I am an Essex resident so know Basildon well, had a minor op at Basildon hospital so booked the holiday inn for one night to make it easier. I love the location, it's the best if you're in Basildon as everything is a 1 minute walk away: restaurants, bowling, cinema, nightclub, bars Staff were the best part, both front desk...

The hotel is in a restaurant park so there is a great choice of places to eat ....TGI Friday, Harvester, McDonalds etc. The hotel is very average but good for a business stay. Everything worked. Ordinary WiFi was fine so no need to pay for high speed unless you are downloading video. Bathroom and beds are fine and there is...

I only stayed for a night. Check in was very slow. Bernadette tried to sort us out but it was clear she wasn't used to a busy reception. There was a mix up with my colleagues booking and we waited for ages to get it sorted and were advised to go back later for the paperwork. We returned 3/4 hr...

Stayed alone for 1 night (Monday night) as I working close by for the day. Room was clean and tidy, check-in was quick and easy, as was check-out. Nice relaxed atmosphere in the hotel bar and plenty of choices for food within a 4 or 5 minute walk from the hotel. I felt the hotel was a little bit dated...

The hotel is located on the outskirts of a retail park , but in a quiet location with lovely well kept gardens to the rear , the rooms are clean , modern and a good size . The breakfast (cooked & continental ) is fresh , tasty and refreshed regularly ,I've saved the best for last and that is the...

No disrespect to Basildon, or it's inhabitants, but it isn't really a place for a cultural break! I had to come to visit a friend in hospital, and decided to break the process up by staying a night. I chose the Holiday Inn because lets face it, its a no frills experience, but it is reliable. This one in my...

Overall this is ideal for one night stay to break up a long journey. Reception staff were warm, welcoming and efficient. Able to fulfill our request for both high floor and quiet room. Room was tired, but more importantly it was clean. Amenities good for the price ie coffee, tea, water, soap, shampoo and a good sized flat screen TV....
