You know you're staying in a caring environment when your hosts tailor your breakfasts accommodating every diet, especially vegan. Portions are generous, served with a smile and the breakfast room is charming with an open country dresser next to the buffet table. Our rooms 7 and 10 were extremely comfortable with crisp cotton linen, fluffy towels. Moreover l gasped in surprise to robust wooden coat hangers on the wardrobe and the drawers were lined. Having this attention to detail makes them deserving of their five stars and the awards you will see in their reception area. They have repeat visitors which says it all. Stay with the best and forget about the rest.

This guest house was recommended by others who have travelled to Banbury for surgery at the nearby hospitals. My husband and I self-isolated for 2 days here before my operation at the New Foscote. Julie and Ayman are very friendly and made us feel welcome. Everything was made easy for our stay: plenty of tea and coffee in the room, a morning breakfast bag left outside our room door and rubbish collected daily from outside our room. The room was clean with a large, comfortable bed. WiFi worked well. My husband stayed for a further night while I was in hospital and he wasn't rushed to check out. Excellent parking on site. All in all it suited our needs perfectly, thank you.

We travelled to Banbury for surgery at the New Foscote hospital and stayed at the Ashlea guest house for 5 nights including 2 days self isolation.
Our room (no 6) was very clean, warm and comfortable with all the necessary amenities on hand including good wi-fi. A substantial breakfast bag was provided for the first 4 mornings and the breakfast room was open on the last morning where a comprehensive menu was available.
The B&B is in a great location too being a 10 minute walk to the centre of Banbury. Ayman and Julie were always available to provide any assistance and support, throughout our stay we were made to feel very welcome as well as being covid secure.
We would happily stay here again if in the area

We've been staying at Ashlea annually for many years and couldn't wish for better attention to detail and fantastic breakfasts. Julie and Ayman go out of their way to make things perfect. An example of this is putting Marmite on my toast under the poached egg at breakfast time. The room we have every year is comfortable and spotlessly clean with extras such as tea/coffee making facilities and nice biscuits and Julie keeps my wine cold in her kitchen fridge which is so important to me!! I thoroughly recommend Ashlea

Your location

If you are visiting Banbury The Ashlea Guest House is the perfect place to stay. We recently stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed our visit. Room was spotlessly clean, bed was super comfortable and breakfast was delicious. The B&B is approx a 10 minute walk into town so very convenient for a meal in the evening. Ayman and Julie were very friendly and made us very welcome. Good car parking facilities as well. Thoroughly recommended.

I booked to stay for 3 nights prior to an operation at The New Foscote. Julie and Ayman were exceptional. Extremely clean accommodation and they were very accommodating. Due to covid, breakfast sandwich (which was delicious), banana and carton of drink was brought to my room and left by my door. Got food delivered from Just Eat which Julie and Ayman kindly left by my door again. Really comfy bed and pillows which makes your stay so much better. Would highly recommend. Great job Julie and Ayman!

What a great stay we had at the Ashlea. The welcome was so friendly and information on local services was very comprehensive. We only stayed one night but the room was great with a good range of toiletries and extras. Easy parking and good vehicular access. The breakfast was incredible with a large range of meals to suit all diets. So impressed with this place we will certainly stay here again. The price was extremely competitive and included the breakfast.

I normally stay in the premier inn on the quay in Banbury. I am really pleased that I made a change and stayed here. The warm welcome, spotlessly clean and so peaceful. Just a quick walk to the town center.
So what is the difference than this guest house and the premier.
1) The price was 50% less than the premier inn
2) This place was much cleaner
3) The size of the room was much smaller than the premier, as was the bathroom.
4) Both are close to the town centre!
5) Booking into the premier inn is a nightmare with cues! This place was very swift and in the room in a jiffy!
6) No car park at the premier and plenty of parking here

All in all this place wins ‘hands down’.

This is an excellent place to stay. Only a 10 minute walk to town. The guest house is extremely clean, with my room overlooking the back garden, it was really quiet. Great sized room with a very comfy bed. The breakfast was delicious, with very good quality bacon and perfectly cooked poached eggs. The hosts were professional and friendly, who made me feel welcome and cared for throughout my stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat

Hello, breakfast is served on weekdays from 07.00 to 09.00 and at the weekend and Bank Holidays from 07.30 to 09.15. We can provide a take away bag with croissant etc., if you need to leave before breakfast starts. Hope this helps. Regards, Julie

Hello, we are about 1 mile from the train station, so it would be better for you to pick up a taxi if you have luggage. There is a taxi rank just as you come out of the station. Hope this helps. Best regards, Julie (owner)
