We only stayed one night as my son had an early operation booked the next day, but the hosts of Ashlea Guest house were very helpful and even let me leave my car parked there for the day so I could be with my son at the hospital across the road. Hotel clean and comfortable. Breakfast very good. Would highly...

very clean, comfortable beds, great breakfast, lovely staff, and location is pretty close to the city center. on the downside with room 10, the water pressure in the shower was really low and somewhat nosy due to the busy street.

Friendly owners, cozy, clean room. Everything I needed for a business overnight stay. A good nights' sleep followed by a lovely breakfast. Room at front of the house was bathed in an orange glow from the street lights, so a sleep eye mask was needed, but it was quiet despite being on main road.

After a few more stays, the welcome is still very warm and friendly. The standard of the rooms remain at a high level and warm ( as needed due to the cold weather recently). Nothing seems too much trouble for the owners who are more than willing to help.

Very welcoming and got me booked in and into my room quickly. Spotless room, comfy bed, hot radiator (needed as it was -4) and great shower. Food was spot on in the morning with a range of cereals and a full English, you can't fault it. Great for a short stay in the area.

Quick check-in, and the owners were very helpful in supplying a map and directions for a restaurant along with their own recommendations and local knowledge. The room was spotless, of an ample size with all the ameneties you need. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. What more can you ask for?

I booked to stay at Ashlea Guest house for a "girls" weekend and we had a great stay. Our hosts were very helpful with maps and suggestions of places to visit. Our 2 rooms (11 and 12) had their own front door and it was perfect for us to have them so close to one another. The rooms are quite...

We booked to stay one night so we could meet friends at the beer festival which was two doors away. They were very welcoming at the guest house, we had arranged to leave our car there earlier than the check in time but as our room was ready they allowed us to check straight in which was very helpful. The...
