This inaccurate, and strangely malicious reviewer has probably managed to do enough damage to our business to make the closure of this lovely old (but struggling) village pub almost certain.
There is surely something wrong here.
We spent another weekend at the Gate. It does what it says on the tin.
Total relaxation, great landlord and landlady, very welcoming.
Quiet, peaceful and a great get away from a London.
Rooms are clean and for us that's the main thing. Don't care...More
We stayed for one night on our way to a conference. Landlord & landlady welcoming. As we arrived we saw chickens cooking in the rotisserie and decided to have that for our evening meal - excellent. Room clean & excellent shower
