Staying for a weekend with cycling friends fior the first time since the lengthy lockdown.
Our double room was overcrowded with furniture yet lacked a bedside table on one side and nowhere to put a cup of tea if you sat on the only club chair. The unusual tap arrangement to make the shower work took some puzzling out - how does it work information shared wth others in our group. The bed was, however extremely comfortable so we got a good nights sleep.
With all the requirements of the pandemic well observed, the cooked breakfast brought to the table was excellent, fresh fruit would have been welcome.
Evening meal on the friday was very poor, very slow table service, very overcooked and inedible vegetables and a chewy version of a stuffed portobello mushroom, not good. The saturday night meal, by contrast was beautifully cooked and quite delicious. Different chef?
Accomodation of cycles and general service was excellent.
It was the start of the re-opening - basically a good hotel but details still bneed to be tweaked.

We visited first day general public were allowed so were warned about food not being available in the restaurant so we got a pizza takeaway to the room but it was a shame that the room was a little depressing just in terms of decor and need for a lick of paint! They made a good effort with the breakfast which was only available as a cold continental breakfast in a bag (could have gone with a firmer bowl!)
Main issue was the tiredness of the room, flat pillows and damp smelling hallway (not room) but rest of hotel might not be like that.
Staff were very friendly. Easy walk to Banbury.

Have stayed here a few times whilst away for the weekend working with my wife.

Value is great - not horrendously priced.

Staff are amazing. Helpful. Cant do enough.

Even though the restaurant is closed they are happy to provide plates and cutlery for takeaways and are they to take your dirtys as soon as you are finished.

Rooms are comfy and have what you need.

It's not the Ritz. But it's not the Ritz price.

We will keep coming back when we need accommodation in the area.

Just stayed here for 2 nights with the main objective to travel into Oxford for a couple of days. The car park was virtually empty and we did only see another couple of people at the hotel, we had Room Only offer so cannot comment on what was offered for breakfast.
We had Room 134, quite a walk away from the reception and no Wi-fi could reach that part......the hotel and Room was clean and all Covid rules were being implemented.
Just a 5 minute stroll into Banbury and around 15 minutes walk to the Railway Station..so suited us fine.
Would recommend if you needed to stay in this area.

The location of this Hotel is good and the free parking was excellent with plenty of spaces.

The Hotel in my opinion is looking tired and run down in areas for example plaster is hanging off the walls inside and out which doesn't look good.

We booked an Executive King Room (Room 4) and I was disappointed with it. I would hate to see a standard room if that was an executive. It was clean but quite basic in my opinion and I have stayed in better and bigger cheaper hotel chains. The WiFi was non existent so if you are a business traveller who needs regular Internet access then this is not the room for you.

That being said the breakfast was freshly cooked and good quality and overall we enjoyed our stay.

I just think Best Western is losing it's way a bit and cheaper hotel chains are giving them a run for their money.

This is our last morning here as I write this review. We stayed as 2 couples in rooms 142 and 143 and have to say that both rooms are spotless, comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, you can have both continental and cooked and plenty of tea, coffee and toast. ALL members of staff are polite professional and extremely friendly, this includes front of house and restaurant staff. We didn't see any cleaners but I'm sure they would have been equally friendly and they did an excellent job of our rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if in the area. Thank you to everyone.

Absolutely beautiful and clean room. Very helpful staff all the time I have used this hotel as I have been there a few times. Also very quiet. As we could not use the restaurant due to Covid 19 pandemic, staff was very considerate and provided breakfast bags to take away - lovely!

This hotel was offering a one night stay between january 25 till April 30 yet agter paying and then trying yo book deal direct eith hotel despite saying any date on or between these parameters was told by the receptionist Mrs Frame that there was not one date available also wnen I asked the name of the manager - her boss she didnt know her full name only Tina and I asked for a call the next day guess what no call happened!!!! This is a Best Western Hotel that is offering stays that dont exist. This I imagine is illegal but not only that I spent a full day trying to speak to someone to then be told atfer checking 3 months dates that nothing was available. WHAT A CON.

The spaces in the small car park at the back of the hotel were very tight. There are two choices at breakfast, cooked or continental. When I asked for cooked I was told that the latest time I could have it was before 8.30am. Not what I wanted to hear after just driving 200 miles, also I needed to choose there and then.
Room was large but shower would not adjust the heat so we had to dip in and out but that was no big deal. Everything was tired and looked like it is about to be modified, e.g. a round toilet seat on a square toilet.
Breakfast was ok but no vegetarian options. Bread had been left out a while as it was hard.
Not so expensive though and the place was clean.
