Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel was offering a one night stay between january 25 till April 30 yet agter paying and then trying yo book deal direct eith hotel despite saying any date on or between these parameters was told by the receptionist Mrs Frame that there was not one date available also wnen I asked the name of the manager - her boss she didnt know her full name only Tina and I asked for a call the next day guess what no call happened!!!! This is a Best Western Hotel that is offering stays that dont exist. This I imagine is illegal but not only that I spent a full day trying to speak to someone to then be told atfer checking 3 months dates that nothing was available. WHAT A CON.

A overall great night away in Banbury. Hotel staff were 5* and the breakfast was good. The only complaint was I would of rather spent a few more pounds a night for a more modern room. Although spotless the bathroom has rust by the taps. Tiles were dated as were fittings and bedroom decor was tired and not cosy. This was a middle spec room not a basic and would of expected better. However staff and food made up for some of it.

I was a little apprehensive about staying at this hotel after reading some of the reviews! We stayed in a twin room which was clean with updated decor, the bathroom was a little dated but still served it’s purpose. The cooked breakfast was lovely and there was a great choice of breads, cereals, juice, yogurts and condiments. The gentleman who took the breakfast order and attended the breakfast room was so friendly and efficient in his role.

Hotel lobby and rooms lovely, staff very helpful (day & night duty), location walking distance to town and station, price affordable. My family & I would stay again if in the area. We did not eat in restaurant so can't comment.

Booked well in advance to be let down hours before we were meant to check in. Rental car and tickets are no longer any good! Disgusting service by this hotel I will never book a best western ever again! Thanks for spoiling a 40th birthday and a 15th wedding anniversary!

The spaces in the small car park at the back of the hotel were very tight. There are two choices at breakfast, cooked or continental. When I asked for cooked I was told that the latest time I could have it was before 8.30am. Not what I wanted to hear after just driving 200 miles, also I needed to choose there and then. Room was large but shower would not adjust the heat so we had to dip in and out but that was no big deal. Everything was tired and looked like it is about to be modified, e.g. a round toilet seat on a square toilet. Breakfast was ok but no vegetarian options. Bread had been left out a while as it was hard. Not so expensive though and the place was clean.

Hotel is dated and in need of a makeover. Our room was clean bed was comfy pillows too soft. Bathroom great size, shower was good powerful plenty of hot water. The towels were lovely. Breakfast was fine served on time nice quality food. We used hotel as a base to visit The Cotswolds so it was fine. It was within walking distance of the town. It served a purpose but wouldn’t go back.

This hotel is well located if you want to be in Banbury town centre, it is clean, it serves an ok breakfast and it has friendly staff members BUT air is on a main road, no outside space, old fashioned rooms, horrible unhygienic bathroom, dirty curtains, marked walls and floors.. At 105 a night a disgrace particularly when on arrival the first thing we were asked by some people related where they could go to score and also to be kept awake until nearly 1.30 subsequently with people swearing and shouting. Horrible

This is our last morning here as I write this review. We stayed as 2 couples in rooms 142 and 143 and have to say that both rooms are spotless, comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, you can have both continental and cooked and plenty of tea, coffee and toast. ALL members of staff are polite professional and extremely friendly, this includes front of house and restaurant staff. We didn't see any cleaners but I'm sure they would have been equally friendly and they did an excellent job of our rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if in the area. Thank you to everyone.

Brilliant value for money, attentive and polite staff room on arrival not quite suitable due to the height of the bath my wife was unable to negotiate it the receptionist changed rooms for us without hesitation. Very clean rooms, plenty of fresh bath and hand towels, breakfast was top quality, the one bar meal we had was superb, all in all the best mini break we have had.
