Went for a meal at Cromwell on Saturday with a group of 6 friends. The fish & chips was sent back as it was just fried batter with no fish. My husband had lamb shank and had to wait 5mins for his gravy, so by the time the gravy came his food was cold. The waitress never asked if wanted...

A big mistake choosing the Cromwell Lodge for a business trip. Fine, I am sure for a weekend away. Problems - breakfast is not served until 8am so if working Saturday and Sunday it is impossible to get fed. Wifi certainly did not work well enough to enter any of my results or do any online work in the hotel...

This is our 4th time staying at Cromwell Lodge. Same good value, and friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast, and the bar/restaurant food looked good value (we were eating out, so did not have any) Location still excellent for visiting Banbury. Free parking even on early arrival. Just a few issues with rom 15, which is the worst room that...

All the staff here are friendly and helpful and dealt with all our needs despite being very busy. We had room 10 at the front of the building, which was small but with plenty of space and a cosy feel and catered for our needs well. The bed was very comfortable and the heating was excellent. The shower was powerful...

Lovely old building with lots of character. Food was standard pub fare, and a very good cooked breakfast with lots of options. Rooms are a bit dated, but large and comfortable. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful and made sure we had plenty of room for our little one in a cot, which we really appreciated. We'd definitely stay again...

We had high expectations of the Cromwell lodge , unfortunately we were very disappointed. Upon arrival We were greeted very well by a pleasant staff member who directed us to our room, but everything went downhill from there. The room was extremely dated , with an old and grotty carpet with quite a few large very black stains in several places,...

Me and my sister stayed at the Cromwell for one night. The room was tired and the bathroom is in need of refurbishment, as this is an old place you will find creaky floors and cracks here and there, but it was a pleasant stay and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even ordering...
