Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Travelling with a pet this Travelodge is by one of best we have stayed in throughout the year. Staff are so welcoming and helpful. They went out of their way to see to our needs. The room was spotless and the bedding smelt fresh and crispy clean.

After staying in the Travelodge Ashford for the last 3 weeks on business, I would like to say how friendly and professional all the staff were. Finally found the type of real service where people care and not just give the corporate smile and say how’s your day, but don’t care.
At times the staff where dealing with various problems with air con in rooms and new carpet’s being laid but at all times they made both myself and my assistance dog feel as if we were special. The hotel is also set in a great location right in the center of town close to trains and the outlet village.

Check in was easy, the room was plenty big enough for 4 of us and the breakfast was unlimited, which made our children happy!
David and Jenny looked after us on arrival and Edoard was very helpful at the bar, he even made the children happy (just by being playful enough to copy them and make them giggle).
In the morning, Adrian was brilliant - totally slammed by patrons requiring more plates/cups/food/clearing of spaces or floors (and in my opinion, some of them could do with lessons in how to clear up after themselves), but he couldn't have been more pleasant, welcoming or friendly.

Lovely new colour scheme, quiet calming and relaxing. Would happily stay again, thanks again to all the staff!

The main advantage of the Travelodge, just a few minutes from J9 on the M20, is also its main problem - even in rooms facing away from the motorway there is a constant background drone. Those rooms also face a large retail park which is busy until late.
My room seemed fine, but then there was no hot water. Reception said “it was a common problem at that time of the evening”, which was little consolation to me. To compound the issue I had no hot water the following morning.
The bed was comfy enough, but neither quilt nor pillows were to my liking. Noise insulation from the corridor was poor.
I also had the misfortune to eat dinner in the restaurant. Other, better options are available a short distance away.
Only 30 minutes’ free wi-fi was available, which is a poor deal in today’s world.

Checked in for 1 night, family of 7, 3 rooms. Staff friendly. Hotel and rooms lovely and clean. Had food in the bar/cafe, food came out hot, very nice and made fresh. Meal deal.is worth it.
Close to the Channel Tunnel.

One of the better travelodges we have stayed in- clean and quiet inside (obviously traffic noise outside but that doesn’t bother us). Great for an overnight stay before boarding the Eurotunnel, which was 18 minutes away.

A comfortable nights sleep!

On arriving, the first room we were allocated wasn't even ready - the walls were half painted, and the toilet and basin weren't clean. So we were moved to a room on the 1st floor which was clean. But throughout early evening there was heavy footfall from the room above. We complained to Caroline on Reception, who within the hour moved us to a 3rd floor room. We would like to say that Caroline went above and beyond her duties in helping us, and always with a smile, throughout our stay. Not all the morning staff were as pleasant as Caroline. Also we don't know her name, but the lady who did the food in the evening was also very pleasant. So "Thank you Caroline - you're an asset to your company".
One thing we found not so good was the lack of communication between rooms and reception due to no phone service in the rooms. Also some soundproofing between floors would certainly be helpful for a good night's sleep.

We have stayed several times before Eurotunnel next morning. It does what it says on the tin and offers much better value for money than higher rated hotels in the area. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Bar with food (not Michelin standrard, of course) on site, acceptable prices, generous portions. Staff friendly and helpful Only 30 mins free wifi as in all Travelodges but £3 for 24 hrs won't break the bank if really needed. Likewise, you will be forced to pay if you want to check in before 1500. We will happily continue to use this place with one night stays.

A convenient location - 15 minutes to the tunnel, and a number of restaurants within walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable and we had 2 spare pillows, so 4 in total - a lot of hotels only give you one pillow each. Pet friendly.

This Travelodge is perfect for an overnight stay, especially if breaking up a long journey. We checked in fairly late and the service was all very good. Easy check in and the bar was open for a much needed drink. Room was very comfortable; we had a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was good and love the fact you have to 12pm to get out of your room. Would definitely recommend.
