I was twice on business trip and I had chosen the hotel due to location and his old English style of the building. First experience everything was ok, but second time I was not so happy anymore. Electric kettle from my room was dirty, you can see the limestone deposits turning into sand, those need some attention once in a...

I have stayed here for two nights on a business trip. The double room is amazing, especially for one person! The bed could easily fit 4 ;) The meal on the first night wasnt the best, i had a sunday roast with mash. The mash was blatantly microwaveable mash as it was still in the cylinder shape when it arrived...

After being given our room key and checking in we went along to our rooms. We were having a double and the MIL and her friend were in a twin room. We were put next to eachother. On first impression of the rooms which were situated in the Stables (an extension to the Hotel), we were not exactly delighted. This...

I recently stayed at the Manor on a 2 night break visiting friends in the Yeovil area. The main hotel is a lovely building and all staff were welcoming and polite. I was allocated a room in the stable block which is an annexe located at the rear of the main building. The room was totally adequate however the one...

Spent a Saturday night here, the room a good size nice comfortable bed decent size bathroom, however the room was dusty and we discovered that we were directly above a disco party on full volume until midnight, pity that we weren't warned about it beforehand it spoilt what could have been a pleasant visit.

We recently visited the Manor Hotel and despite reading some decidedly poor reviews and having doubts as to our decision to visit as a group of 14 we went anyway. We were all very satisfied with the Manor although booking in was a little long winded and confused we all got to our rooms. Our room was in the stable...

Apart from the lovely friendly waitress the rest was awful. Total confusion over table booking and the food was disgusting. The kitchen must consist of a Bookers cash and carry card and a microwave oven. Avoid the Rib of Beef at all cost. Still feeling sick

Lovely food and staff. Their food is affodable. They are very friendly and customer oriented. They cater for kids and our daughter loves their food esp their chips and burgers. Parking space for free which is convenient. The hotel is so cosy. Recommended.

I had not been here to eat for many many years but I was pleasantly surprised when I had lunch here recently. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was good quantity and quality. It was unclear how you got free parking whilst eating here so make sure you register your car at reception first. It was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Refurbished three years ago The Manor is located in the Somerset town of Yeovil with easy access via the A303. An Ideal base if visiting Yeovilton, Sherborne. Built in 1735 by local glover and merchant banker John Daniel, the house was known as Hendford House. After he passed away the house was rented out until 1927 when it became The Manor Hotel. A manor it may not be, but it is certainly elegant enough to be one. Its classical facade and porch are of warm, mellow stone, and to its long single wing, also of stone. It has a cheerful modern bar with scrubbed floorboards and pale beechwood furniture and fittings. Today the hotel is a firm favourite with locals and travellers alike. You will be assured of a very warm welcome and great hospitality. Yeovil is the ideal spot from which to explore Hardy's Wessex. Nearby attractions include Glastonbury Abbey. ... more   less
