Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A clean and quiet room with lots of space. Had pizza for dinner which was served quickly and tasted great. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Had a lovely view out of the window to wake up to. Can't fault it!

Pretty simple, nice enough for a place to sleep and good location. The bedroom carpet was soaked through from the bathroom from the second we entreated. This made the room smell damp and you had to wear shoes the whole time in the room. Other than that. Nothing noteworthy.

Overall, I am happy with the hotel at the price point, especially along the seafront. The lift is a little narrow or really friendly.  Beany and Shasha were at the front desk with a really friendly and kind attitude, which made my stay even more enjoyable.  My only issue is having the sink in a headlock while sitting on the toilet.

Superb hotel with great views of the sea. Staff are excellent. Can not do enough for you. Highly recommend. I stay in the Worthing area on business frequently, always choose this hotel for its great location and stunning sea views. A small walk along the sea front for all the bars and restaurants.

The room was comfortable and clean. I was provided an iron on arrival and the reception staff on both days were professional, friendly and knew how to do customer service like the old days. My view from my single room superb and a refreshing sight to have in the morning as opposed to where I normally live. It’s a great place to stay of going to a club as we did. No worries about missing the bus and enabled us to have a leisurely breakfast before heading home. The ladies on reception on the morning were human, real and not speaking from a script. Utterly wonderful!

hotel in a perfect location with excellent cleanliness of rooms that are looking a little tired but had a great nights sleep, few niggles like couldnt connect to wifi and you only get 30 mins free and no hairdryers in the room so would have given 3 stars but the staff especially sam on reception are worth an extra star they really go the extra mile and are a real credit to travelodge

Hmm.. Where shall I start? Black MOULD over windows, Upside down shaver sockets, SMELLY old carpets, wobbly DANGEROUS plug sockets.. Don’t even think about staying here..! The upstairs rooms are dismal & depressing, the bathrooms are COLD … This Travelodge is not like the pictures you see on the website! You’ve been warned ! This place needs gutting.! PARKING: Is a nightmare .! 😩 If you’re disabled, there’s 2 disabled bays which are usually in use by non-disabled guests with no blue badge & staff tell them it’s fine to park there.! NOISE: in corridors till midnight ish & creaky floorboards, Sasha the nasty receptionist, who stomps along every hour throughout the night- for fire checks, apparently, with absolutely no consideration for guests trying to sleep. Hotel Breakfast is £9.75. If you want a full English, it’s watery, tasteless scrambled egg, & hard, dried up bacon with horrible cheap sausages. Hot water ran out while washing my hair. (So ladies, don’t bother with conditioner, there’s not enough hot water for that) On one afternoon BOTH lifts were out of action, & did I mention the mattress’s are like sleeping on a park bench? Oh & the room keys that never work, so you have to keep going back to reception to get them re-coded. And last but not least, just for that extra special touch, the pubic hair from previous guest stuck to the wall in the shower… Nice. 👌 Think I’m exaggerating?! Go ahead & see for yourself my pictures, (added to this review.) While you’re there, look for the picture of the dead slug another ex guest found in his room, & posted. Sam the Manageress is all nice , as long as you do as your told . But If you dare criticise ‘HER’ hotel, or ‘HER’ staff , as she puts it , then her true colours come out. And it’s not nice .. I would describe this place as a HoStel, not a Hotel. I left early & couldn’t wait to get home.

Sam was super helpful, with fuss free check in and a friendly welcoming face on a very rainy February day... The newly refurbished room was so much nicer than than when we last visited a year ago, and a sea view too - thanks for that Sam! Thanks again for a great visit.

I stayed in a lovely, very big room with big bay windows, with a great beach/sea view. As always Travelodge is very basic and great for 'just sleeping there'. The only issue I had was the overpowering smell of bleach in my room. Luckily I was just dropping bags and going out so I opened all the windows and when I returned it wasn't nearly as bad as it was earlier but I could still smell bleach slightly for my entire 2 night stay. Travelodge is what it is and great if you can get at the right price.
